For anyone confused flute guy is first spotted at 0:42 rocking out then at 2:29 and top right barley visible at 3:11 behind violin girl. He not only plays flute but changed to another instrument and rocked out, legend!!

Xenoblade 3 didn’t win Best Soundtrack, but at least we got an amazing rendition of Weight of Life, that flute player (learned his name is Pedro Eustache) went so hard.
Xenoblade 3 getting nominated wasn't just great because the series is fantastic and its getting the recognition it deserves. It also meant we got to see the real hero of the orchestra, Flute Guy!
There was a bit of me that really hoped Ragnarok would get it but only because of how much the story touched me but you can't deny the millions of people who who put their sweat and tears into Elden Ring and it could have gone either way for me but congratulations ❤️❤️
The "It Takes Two" director was right. If the GOTY Orchestra played your game song, it is basically a grand honor. It means you're one of the current top dogs in the gaming industry.

Miyazaki is a legend. He deserves every award he gets and im so happy to see him winning. Not many people have truly made the kind of impact on gaming that Miyazaki has. Imagine having a formula, where every single game you made, people sink hundreds of hours into each title, vigorously waiting for the next one to be released, desperately trying to satiate the need to play souls-like games. Just amazing.

Pedro Eustache, the amazing musician with the flute! What a pleasant surprise seeing him there, thank you for the beautiful work on Xenoblade, best part of the show! For those unfamiliar with him he has collaborated in a few different orchestras, including Hans Zimmer's.
ER is an amalgamation of the open world RPG as inspired by western and eastern titles (ie: skyrim, witcher, BOTW, shadow of the colossus) and a culmination of Fromsoft itself seeing the aspects of dungeoncrawl from Demon Souls and Bloodborne for its seamless interior asspects in an open world scale. it has environmental story telling w/ visual language as its visual direction which correlate with world building and lore that offers dynamic writing for its players choice w/ interconnecting quest lines and exploration that rewards players curiosity, it's a game that delivers "players freedom" as it respects its genre.
