Geoff said he went a little overboard with the costumes. Poor Cesar had to wear 20 lbs of real chainmail. In between takes, he had to lie on the floor. They even sang in the Dragon language and the special effect on the shout FUS ROH DAH was perfect. Hoping you react to their cover of the HALO theme. Just remember if you do you have to watch all the way to the credits. It's a tribute to a friend they lost. An old member Scott Porter from Friday Night Lights.
Also the special effect when Layne breathes right before they all line up.
Just to clarify -- Rek Dunn is the fallen friend. Scott Porter was a member of VP before he left to act full time. Scott narrates the tribute.

Being a bass myself, I fanboy out over Geoff, but to be honest, Eli is my favorite singer in VoicePlay.

OH MY STARS! Last video games I played were Pacman and Asteroids!!! I loved this and how you walked me/us through the story/game! I think I will coerce my grandkids into behaving by saying "Don't make me summon the Dragonborne" in the future! I am learning so much from reactor channels so thank you for sharing!!! They must have had so much fun putting this together! I'm an old-school D&D player, and my friends and I would have gone absolutely bonkers if we could have got our hands on these sorts of costumes and props (never mind the effects, and of course none of us could sing like these guys.) I thoroughly enjoyed watching this with you, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you react to Hoist the Colours (in particular) and their other awesome performances you haven't done yet.
First, I told you so! There is a reason they are called the theater kids of acapella! As you know, they don't always go all out with makeup and costumes, but when they do, they don't go half way!
Second, you will be thrilled with Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Third, try a different genre, maybe Disney. Go with We Don't Talk About Bruno.

This is really gorgeous. Have you reacted to the Halo Theme yet. It has Scott Porter as featured artist - he was actually VoicePlay's first beatboxer before he left for Hollywood, He's an actor now and has been in season 6 of Lucifer, Friday Night Lights and more. Watch past the theme and you will see young VoicePlay (high schoolers) and learn some about them. The Charismatic Voice did a reaction analysis of Halo and brought in the composer Marty O'Donnell and you get his thoughts on how VoicePlay did. You might also like Warriors from 3 yrs ago and follow it up with Dream On. Cast for Warriors is Layne, Geoff, J None, Eli, Earl, dast for Dream On is Geoff, Layne, Eli, Cesar and features Omar again.
If you're a gamer, check out their Halo theme, Enemy with guest AleXa, and -- just for giggles -- ACA Top 10 Video Game theme music. That one is seven years old, so Tony and Earl were still with them. I'm old enough to giggle madly at Layne and Geoff doing Pong (which we actually had). And Geoff struggling to keep a straight face...

Yep. Eli's my guy, too. I love them all but his voice is the one that stays with me after the song ends.
After this they had a charity auction and auctioned off a lot of the pieces. One person was lucky enough to get Caesars fall regalia- chainmail, gauntlets, gorget, and I believe the cape.

So I’m an “Old School” RPG girl! I played “Suikoden I, II, III & IV,” Breath of Fire I & II & III,” Lunar: Silver Star & Lunar: Eternal Blur,” Grandia I &II,”Zelda,” and “Wild Arms!” This was all before “Final Fantasy Seven” came out and changed the landscape of RPG’s to what it is today. We called these games “Little People with Big Heads!” They are Classics!!! And there wouldn’t have been “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” “Halo,” or “Skyrim” without these precursors!!!
PS- I still have ALL of these classics along with their Official Strategy Guides and the PS II I played them on!!
I'm with you. "Old School" RPG girl too. Among my list, one of my favorites is Final Fantasy VIII. Though I still have the original PS version (with Strategy Guide, of course), I had to download the remastered version when it came out on the Nintendo Switch, which I had no interest in buying until remastered FFVIII came forth.
PLUS, though I've had the previous game Oblivion for years, VP's rendition of Skyrim made me finally buy the game. (Of course, I even tracked down the Special Edition Strategy Guide for it. And that thing is the size of a giant heavy bible...😬🤯)

Geoff and Tim have the same vocal range using different techniques. Voiceplay just highlights Geoff's deep bass more than Home Free does Tim's.
I've read that Eli & Omar ( the archer), both play Skyrim , so they knew how to make it authentic. They were the ones who also took the lead singing in the Dragon Language .
You mentioned Tim Foust... have you heard "Misty Mountains" from the Hobbit Movie with Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust? They do some Gregorian chants at the beginning. It's another Epic fantasy song. Loved this!
Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust did Misty Mountains. Geoff Castellucci's version of the same song is called Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold. Both videos had great locations/sets and costuming. Both wonderful!
Geoff has a 5 octave range. He has is own line too. Check out his covers to see his full range. Or check out the whole team with The Oogie Boogie Song. Omar took 3rd place in this last season of The Voice.

Meh, don’t compare-that ends up with a winner and loser, and both Tim and Geoff are awesome! Also, the three top acapella groups, Pentatonix, Home Free and Voiceplay, the only thing they really have in common is they’re all acapella. It’s actually pretty hard to compare them, because they’re all doing entirely different things and their styles are completely different.
There's no comparison between Geoff and Tim. They're two completely different singers in their own right. Yes, Tim gave both Geoff and Avi tips on singing lower, but that is because Tim has more formal training than either Geoff or Avi.

Eli annihilated this. I love all the guys, but I’ve always favored Eli. I’m starting to feel similar about Cesar. He’s been a beautiful addition.
I love every member of Voiceplay. They are all phenomenal but.... Eli is my guy.
