I'm an old woman, not a gamer, but, man, I love this! I've listened to it dozens of times at least and hear or see something new every time. I love Voiceplay and am here with you every time you react to them!

Me too, it's just beautiful to me. I'd buy an Ep, album or CD if they would do any music from Skyrim or any game if they did it.

This is such a gorgeous piece of music. These guys honestly keep surpassing themselves. Oh, and speaking of, you definitely ought to check out crazy bass Geoff's new solo release, a cover of Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers. Oh yeah. It's soooo good. (btw, the language they switched to midsong was Dovazhul, the Dragon Language from Skyrim.)

There are a few other basses with similar range, but no one else I've heard has Geoff's smoothness, flexibility and clarity. His voice is like a warm caress. I understand that in addition to his natural gifts, he practices freaking constantly to achieve the controll he has.

That smooth voice is the newest member of VoicePlay, Cesar de la Rosa. On their Dream On, it's him hitting those high notes. The language they sang in was the one created for the game, Dovazhul.

I've never played Skyrim but this is a fantastic cover. I'm always in awe of VoicePlays beautiful and amazingly tight harmonies! Eli (the bald one) does have an amazing rock tenor voice, as for Geoff, I'm running out of words to describe that rich bass of his! I'm going to 2nd Cynical Tesuji's suggestion of Geoffs "Ain't No Sunshine", it's really soulful and emotional! 🙂👍

I really enjoyed your reaction because you listen intelligently to what's going on. Some folks are so busy showing off their training, and they end up competing with the music, and that's just crazy. The real game is to find the hinge points, the special moments that are just too good, and you are great at that. I was just listening to Dragonborn earlier today, wondering why more folks aren't paying attention. It's a stunning piece, and I was delighted to see you reacted to it. What I respond to in VP is simple - and impossibly complex. They are artists. No detail is too small. You can argue about the choices you make, but it's obvious that they are carefully made. The guy you said you didn't recognize is Cesar, the newest member of VoicePlay. The bald tenor is Eli (pronounced El-EE). A year or two back, everyone commented that he's "clearly" an R&B guy. Now what he's showing is his rock tenor. I'm guessing that what he gives us gets down to the song choices. He's amazing. Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci is the bass. The language is the dragon language from the game. ?? yeah. They learned to sing the dragon language.

Geoff just comes in Smokin hot first thing with that low bass. The smooth voice is the newest member Cesar De La Rosa. The man with the arrows is Omar Cardona. The tenor is Eli (Ellie). The one sharpening the sword is Layne the beatboxer. That's why I gave them the #TeatreKidsOfACappella. That's Dragon language from the game and the special effect on the Dragon Shout Fus Ro Dah!

Eli (the tenor you like) spent 2 tears on the road with a rock band. You can definitely tell. These guys just keep getting better.

Since you like the armor, you might be interested to know that Cesar’s chain mail was real, weighing in at Over 10 pounds. Between that and the gorget around his neck he had to lie down between takes.
There are others who sings as low as Geoff, but his tone is gorgeous.
Omar, the elfin archer who is featured, also appeared in their recent cover of Dream On. Cesar, whose voice You admired, goes all out and provides that metal scream at the end.

Geoff said it was at least 20lbs, that chainmail.

@@christinestromberg4057 That’s what I get for not proofreading! I thought I typed 20 but my fat fingers and my phone don’t always agree. But thanks for correcting it for anybody who doesn’t know. For some reason I was thinking it was 10 kg which will be 22 pounds but I wanted to be on the safe side so I thought, repeat thought, I had typed 20 not 10.😖

In Medieval Times "Ye old Blacksmith" made the weapons etc on a forge with hammers and anvils. Heat it up, pound on it until you make it what you want it to be.

The person making armor and weapons can be called a smithy (blacksmith), an armorer or both.
The area inside of the fortified walls of a castle or hall was called the bailey or inner ward.
Yes. I am something of a geek about medieval history.

  • @billparrish4385
    @billparrish4385 Před rokem

The language is Dovahzul, Language of the Dragons, invented for the game.
The lyrics they're singing in Dovahzul are these:
_Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin,_
_Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal!_
_Ahrk fin norok paal graan fod nust hon zindro zaan,_
_Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal!_
    And in English:
_Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn,_
_To keep evil forever at bay!_
_And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph's shout,_
_Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!_
The shouted lyric 'FUS RO DAH!' (Unrelenting Force) is a 'dragon shout' (like weapons or powers you earn/learn in the game). This one pushes an enemy off-balance (note the little vapor effect coming from their mouths), and is the very first shout learned by the Dragonborn.
