Our greatest resource is unquestionably the vitality, energy & inquisitiveness that a sizable amount of students display towards the language. The "education system" is the barrier blocking any meaningful "cultural revival". Combining creativity & language acquirement is a straightforward concept that needs to be integrated into a progressive learning program. We won't be holding our breath.
Hugh Plays this is the school band of one of the Gaeltacht schools as far as I’m aware ! This would be a school where their whole curriculum would be taught as gaeilge . A couple of my cousins live in one of the Gaeltachts for the Munster dialect as they are in cork the other two counties for this exist in Kerry and Waterford . Mayo, and Sligo are the Connaught ones then for the Ulster one you have donegal .

I recently started learning Irish/ Gaeilge, just for curiosity sake, and I'm glad I found this channel because nothing is better for learning pronunciation than music. sad to say I'm still not good enough to actually follow along with the song, but I'm still at the basics XD

I've been wondering if the professional singers of these songs are always aware of the honor they've been given by having them performed in Irish by y'all. Are they officially notified or do they just eventually hear about it?
Hi Vicky I have wondred that myself I assume the college must get permission to perform these songs I see a lot of people wanting to buy these on Spotify but obviously they can't sell something they don't own and the other thing people want to see them live this is not a group these are children at a summer camp learning Irish in this case through music like any summer camp they all go their separate ways to the four corners of Ireland then the next 500 children do their thing it's primary and secondary school children in the USA that woude be elementary and high school hope this helps you please continue to enjoy this amazing gift we have all been given especially at this so sad 😢 time for the would when I look at these children my tears are of joy when I look at the tv my tears are of sorrow 😷🙏🙏🙏
