Dear Rick, a common misunderstanding made by Protestants is that Roman Catholics actually pray to Marry. The truth is Catholics ask Marry to pray for them. Roman Catholics only pray to God, but believe in the intercession of saints. Intercession of the saints is a doctrine held by Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and some Anglican churches, that saints including the Blessed Virgin Mary may be asked to intercede (or pray) for others.

And, with 2 full days in Sorrento, you’d have a little time to relax in Sorrento itself and also possibly visit another town on the Amalfi Coast, as a day trip. We actually recommend a minimum of 3 days and nights to really “do” Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. You can find more on this in the Rick Steves’ Italy book.

Was there in 2014 and it truly is a magical place. I'm returning to Italy this coming summer, but will spend time in Naples this go round.
That is exactly what happened to me. I went 4 years ago and I am still nostalgic every time I watch this videos. Amalfi Coast it is aplace to stay forever once you have seen it. My advice .. try your best to visit it and you will remember my words..OH1 AMALFI HOW MUCH Ni MIS YOU....

My favorite place on earth. Unfortunately it took until my 4th visit to discover the Marina Grande, which is where I stay when I go now. Just a short walk to town from there. Too bad the restaurant on the pier is no longer there.
There is a song about Sorrento on russian estrada, which called "Late evening in Sorrento" :)
I'm planning to visit Italy next May...perhaps w/ a tour group. Any suggestions about tour companies? Globus, Trafalger...? I've been to Rome, Florence & Venice and various towns/areas along the way. I'd like to visit the Amalfi Coast.Is there enough to do & see during a 2 day stay in Sorrento?
