- This week we show you everything about having the Montesa Cota 300RR as part or your riding arsenal. We visit the "secret compound" to check out where we will be getting a lot of the product reviews done. As well as having a local legend join us also.
Then it is all about the awesome new addition to the Trial Tube Beta as we reckon Danny has lost his marbles on this one!

Trial Tube
Amazing to see, such good quality production, dedicated to trials bikes. Keep them coming.
With support like this we will 100%
If you could, do a side by side comparison and review of the Beta 300 4T and the Montessa 300/301. That would be interesting for us that are considering buying one of them. And there isn't a video in CZcams land that compares both 4 stroke 300s. So you'll get a ton of views and likes with that video. Thanks.
I am just getting back into trials after many years. I see that Toby Martyn is riding a 4 stroke now. I was surprised as many of his videos were him riding 2 stroke. I live in Cornwall, so it's good to see a local rider up there.
Class presentation- looking forward to the next upload 👍
Thanks Graham, don’t forget to share us! We really appreciate the support!
great review esp the piece on the history of the bike, very informative and interesting
Thank you so much!!
What a bike , I've got a 2006 4rt and I love it . Unfortunately I'm crap on it I've waited too late to start trials but I'll plug away at it . Love doing the maintenance on the bike though after riding it.
Glad I've found the channel but being older not to keen on the music 🤣🤣
Apologies, we have to have royalty free tracks to get on CZcams.
Only joking about the music , great channel can't wait for more vids.
I love the Montesa 4RT but Honda should upgrade this bike. 1st: the steering angle is not enought compare to a TRS or a Beta. 2nd : 8x f**king bolts to clean the air filter ! 3rd: make this bike slimer (swing arm/engine/engine plate) 4th: save weight (please Mr Honda) 5th: make a good 125cc or 200cc version for young guns. Thank you TrialTube for this great video. (from France)
spot on
Drink less beer, that’ll save weight 🤔🏆🤣
@@OKFrax-ys2op 🤣🤣🤣
I have The arrow exhaust for my Beta 4T sounds amazing
Great taste!
Hi mate love the show 👌
How's the turning circle on the mont compared to gas/beta etc
Similar to the gas gas as the beta always turns super tight
Hi really enjoy your channel. I’m thinking about getting into trials. I’m a bit old now but still fancy go quite a bit of racing on motorcycles when I was younger just fancy this as it is slower. What sort of bike would you recommend me to get as a start?
You should 100% get started! And I would recommend a modern 125 of you are a little older 👍👍
I rode the Montesa 4RT at "the trials experience day that shall not be named" (sorry present from the wife). Compared to the 2T I've ridden at TrialsDay, I was less fatigued on the Montesa.
Now in fairness, the way Stu brings us on is probably creating fatigue as I'm pushing myself, but I did find the 4RT easier to ride.
For a ride around they are a bit of an armchair. But that is exactly what we found on the review 👍👍
@@TrialTube I have a 2005 CBR600RR on the road. So a bit of a Honda fan boy. I like armchairs
Nothing wrong with the Honda. We love anyone on two wheels!! Honda Fanboy = A fan of quality.
@@TrialTube I call her my moor tractor :) .. She gets me up the mountains in a relaxed manner and I always know she will get me there.
DAN DOING A GREAT JOB SHAME THEY ARNT ON LONGER KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Cheers bud!! They take a long time to make even at that length lol
Love my 2018 260 4rt 💯
How’s the durability of the engine?
@@OKFrax-ys2op If oil is in it 👌
How many hours do you have on it?
@@OKFrax-ys2op I had 120 hours when I sold it..
The Montesa 300RR is heavy compares with other brands. It's ok in the begining but you feel tired as you ride longer time on it.
Correct
After a 12 year break from trials I just bought another bike beta 300 4t. The bosi pipe is needed😊
That’s the correct answer!
Hey Danny really enjoying the content. I wouldn’t mind the odd link in the description to suppliers etc.
Camio Moto!
I love this bike but maintenance compared to the 2 stroke gasgas or beta seems a bit more "involved" Also these are hard to find anywhere near me. When I go into a Honda dealership they all go, sure we have heard of them, but never ordered one.
Would you recommend this for a novice? I have been riding off and on road bikes for 40 years and owned a sherco 290 a few years back , got on well with it and enjoyed the power it had. now 50 year old and just looking for doing to odd trials event just the easy stuff.
The Montesa is better as a 250 of you are a clubman 👍
I have been riding an enduro bike for the last few years and thinking of getting a trials bike also. Would be good to see a video with entry level bike suggestions.
Great content and idea thank you!!!
I love your Beta i had the same beta but doesen't loks like yours, I ame fore Spain
Ola! Thank you for watching and we have more updates on the Beta to come so stay tuned and feel free to share the videos! Thank you for the international support!
The biggest problem with the Montesa is that you have to remove the side of the case just to change the oil filter. That is absolutely insane.
Totally agree as I did mine a few weeks ago. Maybe next time I'll find it easier to do . Great bikes though .
WoW a once a year job. Do lots of oil changes and the filter can stay in for a long time.
@@firstchoicelastchoice28 Every 15 hours.
@@ernesttaylor967A filter every 15 hours you must be joking.
That is the recommendation from Honda.
@10:19 DOOPE song!! "D.J. Danny back at it w/ a new banger!!!" :)
I do try!!!
@@TrialTube Ima start paying closer attention to the music now; no pressure tho hahaha
@@derrickanderson2783 We won't let you down come September when the new content drops!
@@TrialTube I'm never let down. I'll be over here waiting quietly :)
How much bike price please in your country. I am from mustang baglung nepal. That is my dream bike
These are around £8400 in our country! Thanks for watching in Nepal!!
Everything is a hundred quid in these situations 🤔 it's the golden rule lol
the kick starter on montesa always annoyed me. I wish montesa still made 2 strokes and I would get one, I can't stand that 4 stroke sound unfortunately.
First
Great work!!
Finally a model for our shitty Indian roads ❤
Hahaha
" Ride around all day and feel comfortable " Standing up for hours and distance is not comfortable at all.
That is why motorcycles have seats !
Trials motorcycles don’t have them (as they get in the way). So decent and well set up suspension aids the level of comfort for a rider that spends most of the day stood up. Similar to that of a Dakar rider. They have seats and ride 1000’s of miles of the roughest terrain. Which due to this their suspension set up has to be on point.
Nothing to do with having a seat.
Thanks for the comment 👍
expensive yeh
till you look at the price of an emtb
Very true and this was before the weighed fully I to other bikes on the channel lol
@@TrialTube not to sure whether i understand you fully but what i mean is the average e mountain bike is well dearer than a top of the range brand new Mont / Vertigo and i can't for the hell of me think why, carbon frame, wireless shifting, 40 mil forks etc,..... ok but it still seems a bit excessive compared to a beautiful new trials motorcycle.✌spose it just depends on what you wanna spend your hard earned money on at the end of the day.
love the channel btw. sos about waffling on
@@badlarry172 it’s all good and the thing we struggle with in trials against MTB is the fact that a lot of the folk don’t want to improve the sport but hold it in the stone ages…
@@TrialTube 👍
Totally overpriced, as are all trials bikes now.
I completely agree, back when I was a kid they were a lot more affordable! I haven't also been able to have a Honda long enough to see if the build quality would warrant the extra cost. Maybe in a future series of videos?
Effectively they have nearly doubled in price in 10 years. Remember when everyone was buying bikes from Garcia for less than £3,000 before the Euro hike. In my eyes it’s negative economics now. Instead of buying a new bike every year it’s now every 3 years. Say a lad and dad start out now adding trailer and riding gear. Add a few basic tools required that’s a grand. Get two Beta’s and that’s another 12 grand. It’s killing the sport. And don’t get me started on tyre prices! A hard day on the rocks at Addingham or Back Cowme and that’s a back tyre required.
Even the used bike prices are outrageous for old stuff.
Completely wrong about global warming mate.
