  • Uncut interview with CONE MCCASLIN (SUM 41)
Interview conducted on April 12, 2024.
After 27 years of activity, Sum 41 will call it quits. At least that's what the Canadian band, which marked pop punk in the early 2000s, assured in a post on social media in May 2023. “We are eternally grateful to our fans, old and new, who supported us in every way”, says the statement signed by Deryck Whibley (vocals, guitar), Dave “Brownsound” Baksh (guitar), Jason “Cone” McCaslin (bass), Tom Thacker (guitar) and Frank Zummo (drums). But the exit was not immediate, and brought with it, in addition to a new album - the double “Heaven :x: Hell”, released on March 29 -, the promise of a comprehensive farewell tour, to be completed by the end of 2024. In an exclusive conversation with me, Cone McCaslin talked about all this and much more. Check out.
