Sum 41 is one of the most consistent bands in the world. Too bad they're disbanding as all things must come to an end. If I were to choose, 'Does this look infected' or 'Chuck' would be my best Sum album. Thanks for the memories lads.

I remember during final show in Jakarta, when they mentioned that this is the very end of SUM41, we were booing them out loud and Deryck said “Thank you for the boos” and other members just all smiling like “we know..we don’t want it to ends too” 😊
At when we were young festival same thing happened lol

@@mcmore7 Deryck mentioned that they’ve been touring non stop and he feels like needed a break and want to spend more time with his family especially after what happened with him during covid (he had heart failure and almost died) hence the decision to break up

I met Dave one after a show, he immediately started to talk about NewCastle and how he though Vurnon Anita was a very underrated Dutch player.
Album is fantastic. Personally a lot of bands go away and come back years later, but i think they are truly done after this especially at their ages
I still hope the Sum will rise again one day.
Honestly I think the opposite because they're still quite young (early to mid 40s except for Tom which is older I believe?) for the almost 30 years career they've had. I can see them come back in a decade or even a little bit less than that.
Hey, hopefully someone will quote this comment at that time and say "well they just announced a reunion!"

I remember meeting Deryck, Dave and Cone after their show in the Netherlands. Dave is such a nice dude. Stayed with us to talk about his favorite football team Newcastle United and which Dutch players he loved. Sad that this is the last album but it is a great one to end it with.
Sound like the Tom and Cone areant ready yet to call it quit...🤔 side note i could hear these guys talk all day they are so genuine and true to themselves, love you Sum41 forever❤

Sum 41 was a mainstay in my ears growing up. Still a top artist on my spotify now. Gonna miss them
one of my fav bands growing up
I love Sum 41. They were the first band I ever saw perform live. This was back in the fall of 2005 on Citadel hill in Halifax, NS. Right after Chuck came out. It was an incredible performance. Such a great band.

I can’t see them coming back full on but years down I can see them doing an EP or something fun just because. They are amazing musicians. They’ll get an itch 5-10 years later.

I grew up with this band so seeing it end is really sad for me I'm at least glad I got to see them for the final tour it was amazing and reminded me of shows when I was younger

It seems they regret the decision of breaking up. We will appreciate it if you don't. Your are at your best now musically and songwriting wise, a hope to many.
Trying to read between the lines here it seems they all kinda want to keep going, but Deryk seems set on ending it. They have been going pretty hard nonstop these last 7 years, so I do get where he's coming from, but they're only in their early 40s, I still have hope that this ends up more of a hiatus than ending.
@@mikesannitti6042That's the same message I got, everyone seems to want to continue but Deryck wants to go out on top. I've noticed Deryck is very skinny these past few years, I hope it's nothing serious and he just needs a break from the stress. I'm just glad that they are all friendly and there is a real chance of them getting back together, but they can't really do it without Deryck.

these guys have been a part of my life since i first started REALLY diving into music at age 7. i was rewatching the sam raimi spider-man movie on DVD and was looking at the extras and stumbled upon the "what we're all about" music video and was HOOKED. my limewire and youtube history back then was mostly sum 41 after that. my basketball jersey number of choice became 41 after finding them. first ever CD i ever bought with my own money was "underclass hero" when that first came out. even when high school rolled around and rap started becoming the cool thing to listen to, when i was home alone i was probably blasting through "chuck" on my speakers every now and then. these guys are heroes to me and although it kinda sucks that they're disbanding after this, i'm glad they got to end it on their own terms and SO ON FIRE. 41 forever 🤘🏼
My favourite band of all time.
I'm absolutely not a fan of their music at all.
But I have much respect for them, their talent and the place they take in the musical landscape.
I got my tickets to see them in Philly! It'll be my first (and sadly last and only) Sum 41 concert!

Dá pra ver nos olhos de todos que eles não querem que a banda acabe, mas acho que isso vai depender do Sven, pelo que percebi.
Todos eles estão felizes com este novo álbum, porque sem dúvida, este álbum ficou uma obra-prima!
As musicas da parte Heaven me dão uma sensação tão boa, e a parte Hell tem uma energia tão estrondosa que me faz sentir aquela energia de quando eu ouvia DTLI e Chuck na adolescência.

All well and good, they're ending on a high, I'm happy for them. But the fact they played the same festival as Stevo in Japan (he was sitting in with the Vandals) and they couldn't make it work to jam together for old times sake for the fans, just really saddens me.

Steve doesn't want to be famous apparently, and didn't visit Deryck in the hospital when he nearly died. It seems like it might have been worse than that, since Steve stopped drinking long before that happened.
