Considering that Brazil is the country that listens to Iron Maiden the most in the world, it took a while for Dennis Stratton, the guitarist on the band's debut album, to schedule shows here. Four decades, to be honest. “I had some plans in the past that didn't work out very well,” says the guitarist, directly from Phil Campbell's studio in the United Kingdom, referring to the tour originally planned for 2020. “Everything seemed great until the pandemic came, and everything fell apart. Since then, the world has gone crazy and has been a mess.” In the interview you are about to watch, Dennis comments behind the scenes of the most important album he has ever recorded; reveals his last wish regarding the band; gives his opinion on the so-called New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM), a revivalist movement of “classic heavy metal”; and clears up one of the biggest misunderstandings of his career: the partnership with vocalist Paul Di’Anno in the 1990s, which was nothing more than a fraud.
