    This video helped a lot, it helped me to fix a front drivers side light bulb that was out for a while.
    I'm glad I fixed it by myself because you can go to the mechanic & they can tell you anything.
    Like, you have a wiring problem or anything to get more money out of you.

    For my 2007 jeep patriot the ground for the right side head light is bolted neat the reservoir for the coolant. The right head light and the fog light do not work after changing them. I smell coolant outside after driving. Can't find leak. Changed Ignition coil pack last week.
    Wondering if coolant leaked onto the ground wires and caused faulty wiring and killed both lights. Wondering if I have a bigger problem also with this coolant.

      I’ve done some wiring myself , something I never thought I could do until I watched a CZcams video on it and it took me about an hour - hour and a half. A shop would’ve got me for at least ~$500 probably more after they finished jackin around. & the connectors cost me under $3 ... assuming you can follow the steps and do it properly it’s worth it even if it ends up not fixing the issue because you took one thing off the list that they might charge you for which they love doing. “Well we ran all new wires and it still didn’t work so we had to replace this , it’s gonna cost ya another $350”

    I was replacing my left high beam since it wasn’t working & then after I changed it , it started to work, and so I decided to change the right one too since I was already working on it. (It was already working just wanted to replace it with a new one might as well) and when I started moving it to take it out I noticed the it stopped working & I thought I should just replace it & it should work but even after I replaced it , it didn’t work. Maybe I moved a wire or something ? Any tips ? Ford Fusion 2010

    • @opcpixie
      @opcpixie Před 2 lety +2

      Girl, I have a 2014, civic and my passenger low beam has been out for months now. I've checked the fuse and the relay they looked fine, bulb worked on drivers side. I've looked up the blueprint for the electrical wiring of the headlights but that's seems a bit more advanced and where my mechanical know-how ends, especially since I'm not getting on my back and shimmying under the car and all. However, I'm almost certain it's not the wiring anyway since the blinker and high beams are fine as well as the wiring about a foot down from where it attaches to my low beam socket. One possibility I saw, if you haven't checked (although I'm guessing you probably figured it out by now) was to inspect the copper terminals inside the actual socket to check for corrosion as it might prevent a good solid connection between the socket and the bulb. If there is corrosion, wipe it out with a dry rag until you can buy a new one to replace it within that next week or two. My oil change light just came on and I have the HondaCare so I can just take it in and my family knows a few people in the service dept. who usually help us out of its something quick and an easy fix (like wiring). I mean, if they're gonna check the wiring to diagnose the issue and they see a spot that may have fried or chewed or something, it takes all of 3 minutes to strip each of the ends, connect them and secure with a wire clamp or, hell, at this point is be happy if they just threw some electrical tape over the connection. Either way, it'd be nice not having to continue blinding other drivers at night (since I drive with my brights on so, knock on wood, if some cop was in a d!ck mood that day maybe I'd have better luck if he glanced my way since it wouldn't be as obvious my headlights out... especially since my car is a black 2dr with blacked out, illegal tint. Hey, whatever helps to avoid seeing them flashing lights in the rearview, right?) If you figured out what was going on with your headlight, could you maybe let me know? I know it doesn't necessarily mean it's the same thing but considering we got the same make/model, just 4 years difference, and have the same issue and eliminated the same easy fixes, I mean, there's a good chance it's the same issue - or close enough, lol. If I find out anything in the next week or so when I take my car into Honda for the oil change, I'll let you know. Either way, hope it's an easy, cheap fix for the both of us. Especially since everybody's car fund is going towards gas nowadays and damn, these gas prices be hurtin', no doubt.
