- Finally Pokemon Brilliant diamond is upon us the generation 4 remakes are something i was very much looking foreward to and what better type to play trough the new games than my favourite type the ground type. With pokemon like garchomp and torterra by our side we will definetly give cynthia a run for her money so let's see how we do!

I was confused by this discussion.
I’ve never seen a hardcore rule set that prevented you from using a Pokémon if it over leveled during the elite 4. I mean, more power to you, but I think it’s a little unnecessary
It can make the games really intense, making you focus on your strategy and not levels. Most nuszlockes can be brute forced with grinding. Fan games like reborn make really good use of it.

I used a Garchomp on my team. It's one of my favorite dragon types. Strong with good speed as well!

I saw another Ground only Nuzlocke in BDSP where Garchomp literally swept Cynthia. Although, a bit of luck was needed.

I got brilliant diamond, and I decided to only use pokemon that got new forms in gen 4, like magnazone roseraid and gallade

Great video as always and props to getting it out so quick. I have one concern, as far as I am aware of the nuzlocke rules, you are to have a lower level while starting the first elitefour battle, any experience gained from the elite four will not affect the cap anymore.
Her miltotic is insane. Flame Orb with its ability + recover makes it a stall machine

This reminds me of my nuzlocke of platinum! My first run, I found an impish gligar as well, and I was really glad I got such a good nature on a mon I was interested in using. I lost the run pretty soon after catching it, unfortunately, but the next time I tried the nuzlocke, i found ANOTHER impish gligar! This time, it evolved into Gliscor, and it was by far my strongest team member.
God I cannot wait to do my ground mono-type run now!! Though I’m deffo cheesing that post-game Gliscor somehow, I looking forward to using that too much to miss out on it.
Accidentally picked Turtwig at 5 years old since i didn’t understood English at the time. After that moment Torterra has always been my favorite pokemon! Pokemond Diamond was also my first ever Pokemon game. At number 2 i would pick Piplup and at 3 Chimchar. I don’t know why because he probably is the fan favorite.
Mad how my first playthrough was also a Ground-type Hardcore Nuzlocke; it's my favourite type too & Torterra was my first starter.
Turtwig is the backbone of any team he was the sole reason I beat Cynthia in only 3 tries

my favorite sinoh starter is actually Turtwig ! and I remember as a kid doing my first monotype run on a pokemon game, it was actually ground on platinum so sweet coincidence here !
Actually running through with a ground mono challenge myself at the moment, forgot just how many weaknesses they have but the versatility of the dual typings is a lot of fun. Don't like how I can't get gliscor until post game though :/
Rock types are the ones that have lots of weaknesses ground types only have 3 weaknesses
Welp I still hate the game and for every reason I though I would as well. The gym leaders are alot better but everything between the gyms is severely underleveled. Nothing more annoying than being on the 5 gym badge and the rival is still hitting me with a level 26 starly

If there is any region to have a mono-ground team in, it’s Sinnoh. Your options for second typings are super-diverse.
Dragon, Water, Flying, Ice, Rock, Grass, Steel, you can have basically anything, and they’re all insanely good too.
Gastrodon is bulky as hell and has valuable water immunity, Gliscor was meta defining for its time especially after poison heal, Mamoswine is really niche ice coverage and has decent bulk outside of its weaknesses to my knowledge, Torterra has grass coverage and is neutral to water, Rhyperior is slow but has a higher BST than Rhydon and gets rock stab something that other ground types don’t, alternatively Golem is alright, and then there is Steelix for its insane defenses and good defensive typing, if you don’t want a dual typing on one mon Hippowdon can benefit the team with sand stream, which assists Rhyperior and Golem as rock types with their predominantly special water weaknesses, and then there was Garchomp destroyer of worlds. Ground type gets a lot of love in Sinnoh, and its diversity makes it a good type to choose if you’re a monotype trainer.
Additionally, it looks like Zwiggo has already figured out how to solve the affection mechanic giving your Pokémon broken Anime Plot Armor (TM), since I didn’t see his Pokémon getting extra crits, dodging attacks, or living KO’s at 1 HP. For anyone else in the chat trying to figure out how to avoid that, since friendship and affection have been merged in this game, all you have to do is use bitter medicine herbs on your Pokémon to lower friendship/affection throughout the run, and problem solved.

Mine Favourite Is Infernape
For me this might be my favourit of the remakes. I played Soul Silver, Omega Ruby and Let's Go Eevee.
Soul Silver's problem for me is it is based on Gen 2. I don't like Gen 2. But at least Soul Silver made Gen 2 not completly boring for me with some neat things.
Omega Ruby's problems for me are some teams/move choices of important trainers, the fact that only the elite four and champ have rematches and Megas...
So I am not against Megas, but they kinda made my playthrough too easy even tho I was underleveled. However, I prefere Omega Ruby to Soul Silver. The base that game has is strong which gives me the feeling I would like the originals as well, maybe even more since some teames there I like more from the way they are build.
Let's Go Eevee has a good amount of problems. The Teams of important trainers, the things you have to do to enter gyms, the fact that in the first run no one seems to have Pokémon with four moves, the catching and I am not the biggest fan of Kanto. But at least some post game stuff is nice. So it was more fun for me than the original Gen 1.
BDSP just is more fun to me. The base is strong, they improved things that bothered me and added enough to give me something new. Of course I would prefere no perma EXP share (tho that doesn't bother me too much) and some other things could have been done (like adding some of the Platinum Dex on the overworld), but nothing got in my way of having fun so much that I would say it is a huge problem. I would like them to add a few things, which is why I still prefere Platinum an White 2, but I certainly had my fun.

I love both the ORAS series and these remakes. Both of my favorite gens and they make a lot of things good, just wish they made these remakes more balanced with teams, as they barely change them.

I had the exact same issue not being able to evolve gligar lmao, I'm pretty sure you don't get the razor fang in og diamond & pearl till the post-game either, that might be a platinum only thing.
Chimchar is my favorite starter from this generation! Playing the normal pearl version at the moment too with low levels and just won the elete 4 and and now im bussy with the battle tower haha
Sinnoh starter favourite has got to be Turtwig. I love the steel type so I should be saying Piplup but Torterra is just a defensive beast and just such a bulky boi.

I picked Shining pearl.. Turtwig is defenitely my favorite starter.. for my first playtrough i decided to get the team i used on my very first playtrough of pearl however my second run i’m defenitely gonna try to do a mono run too.. and i’m going for Poison type since that is my favorite type
I enjoy it. My team level for leguue so still hard but wish I do wish made changes. Mainly because I wanted to use a glacoen on team. Instead I used frolass
Piplup my favourite starter from this gen but I do enjoy both the others as well. Probably my favourite Trio.

I'm still playing my own Nuzlocke in Brilliant Diamond, this game is so cute. I wasn't really fond of chibi looks but the graphics are really polished.
Love that they gave Rowan back his Munchlax, that classic slap to the face from the original Diamond
Im using a Gliscor too got 6 Badges atm (got a Razor Fang through Trade) But it wrecked the Game as Gligar already. Shows How busted its Typing is ingame with Acrobatics and Earthquake 😂

@@jeetverma2649 They are switch emulator and you can use them to play switch games on your pc
I would recommend ryujinx if you have an nvidia gpu, I found it crashed a lot less. Only issue is it has a slowish boot time due to the shader loading, and it’s annoying to restart the game, because you need to re load the shaders every time. Yuzu has an advantage in that you can set a custom time, but I’m pretty sure the game freaks tf out if you change the time.

You should try one with only poison types. Poison type pokemon don’t get used much and there are actually some good ones in Sinnoh such as Drapion and Roserade
Ground type is also my favorite type, favorite pokemon is rhyperior, favorite starter in sinnoh is piplup

You made it more difficult. The rule is highest level of the elite four (66 here) BEFORE you start the elite four. It’s like how you can level up during a gym leader battle. Once you enter the elite four the level cap is over.
