Snap-On 75th Anniversary Delivery Truck Go-kart

The story I got on this little go-kart truck is that it was a special offering by Snap-On for their 75th anniversary. The guy I bought it from purchased it new through Snap-On. Those are really the only details I have about the origins of this cool little machine. It is powered by a 3.5 hp Briggs & Stratton flathead engine that we believe is the the original engine. The engine has a date code of 1994. We when we got this little truck it had been sitting in the corner of a shed for quite some time and all of the wood that made up the box and cab was completely removed. I pieced the wood parts back together to get an idea of what it originally looked like in hopes of sharing pics with people to see if we could find out any more info about this machine. So enough with all that boring stuff. We were pretty sure the engine would run, but honestly even if it didn't we would've just dropped in another one because this thing is just too cool to toss aside. The engine had spark and compression, but wouldn't start. Obviously I figured it was a carb issue and was expecting that. I removed the carb and disassembled it to clean it and that's when I found the actual issue. Turns out that someone had the carb apart before and never put the spring back in for the diaphragm. Once I put that in and got every thing back together the old Briggs flathead started with in 3 pulls and has been running like a champ ever since! Now getting this baby running isn't the end of the story for this cool machine. We have some plans in the works to modify it a bit to get more use and fun out of it.
