I have this exact setup. Costed me £200 and the best I’ve ever spent my money on in bike accessories.

Just bought the RN 3000. Can't wait to install it and start using! 😉
For rear light, I'm loving my Cateye ViZ450. 🥰

Where do you buy your Cateye?

100% spot on, nail on the head review!! watched this vid, along w/ many other magicshine critiques b4 acquiring this set, and still picked them up! and I gotta say, outta all of them, dude u were the best judge of the light combo by far!! now that i've tried the light out, i agree, if the rear light jst had a larger capacity battery, it would be the best bike light set on the market!! biking is my main mode of transport, and i wrk an evening shift, so i'd take the inconvenience of a lil heavier tail light that didn't have to be charged almost ever other day!

Thanks! yeah it's. shame the battery just isn't there for the rear light.

Thanks for the great info. I’m trying to find a good night ride to get me to Spring, and this will help. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and possibly get that long ride in!

5:06 it’s not supposed to be upside down.. the front is specifically designed to cut off beam.

Thanks for this. I have been looking for a long lasting and long distance front light that doesn’t involve a dynamo set up. Thanks for the video. Do you know if you can charge the light and use at the same time “if” you needed to?? 👍

@@MikeRedshaw hey Mike sorry it took a while but better late than never I guess.
You can indeed charge the light while it is on. It turns off at first when you connect it but then you can turn it back on and see that it is charging and on with the orange light that pulses when it’s charging.
      Cheers !

I dont get it . Ive seen the RN 3000 in several vids and on the website showing that light being mounted in the upside down position. That light can not be used in this position without taking away from the benefits and features of the lens. How are you guys using this light upside down??

    • @JoshRomeroYT
      @JoshRomeroYT  Před 9 měsíci

It still shines the same.. sure the top (mounted upright as intended) will give the rider more coverage from seeing their own flashing light. However the light when mounted upside down can be slightly tilted down towards the road and it produces the same results.

SEE …what you’ve completely missed, Mr SOS is the fact that one can easily run a long enough USB cable from the head light to the tail light. There by fixing your major grip with the too-small battery capability of the tail light. Or for that matter, make provision for your Anker battery to be connected to your tail light. Or is there something we’re missing?
(For example, this solution will not work if the tail light can not be ‘on’ and being charged, at the same time. Or… is may be difficult to find a cable which has the proper length, and the correct USB type male connector at both ends.)

I bought one. Within 2 rides the mount had broken and the light fell off. The light is too heavy for the mount. Magicshine UK refused to honour the warranty and I had to involve PayPal to get my money back. When I tried to leave an honest review on the magicshine UK website it was removed. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Does anybody know it's size dimensions?

I bought one. Within 2 rides the mount had broken. On smooth roads. Just fell off and bounced down the road. I guess the light is too heavy for the mount.
Magicshine UK refused to honour the warranty claiming that I crashed.
Really bad service. I would avoid buying from them.
I went back to 2 x fenix bc30 which are fine for me and come with a much better mount.
