I would pay a 100 quid for a Simon and Goldbridge debate. Honestly, two of most witty, Sharp mouthed pundits out there.
As a Brazilian i find the English football tranfers market and pundits laughable. "Let's protect insanely overpriced players like Maguire, Rice, Grealish, Bellingham, Sancho, Bissaka..., and talk sh*t about foreign players that have just arrived to a new country". That's why your national team don't win anything, too much hype for very little end product.
Antony doesn't really do much flicks and spins or whatever. He had the one spin that looked stupid and the pundits are all over him about it 6 months later. Antony may not have been amazing so far going forward, but there is huge potensial. And his defensive work is very, very good.

Criticism of Antony in the first half of the season was fair and just. He has reversed that early season form and now works harder than most Man Utd players. He will only be better next season. -From an Arsenal fan

Thought the players dont dictate their price tag. What must Antony do about United paying that fee.
Ten Hag didn't throw his players under the bus and waited until the season ended to moan about investments specifically in January and Simon had an issue with that.
Uniteds board put higher expectations on him because they over paid for him and that happened because they wasted all summer trying to get De Jong instead of doing other deals that were on for less.

Simon Jordan was talking about Ten Hag's view on needing more investment and the fact he got plenty last summer. He's correct that Antony was not worth being a sizeable slice of that investment. As a Brighton fan i always felt that if we could prevent Rashford from scoring, i couldn't see who else was going to. That shouldn't be the case with Man Utd. Antony just doesn't cause that many problems to the opposition at the moment. Maybe he will in his 2nd season.
