For this cake I used a 9”x13” quarter slab cake pan, however, making the neck of the guitar would have been much easier if I had used a slightly larger pan. I had to piece together the scraps which made it slightly difficult to frost, but I made it work!😆

Thank you so much! This cake here was carved from a 1/4 sheet cake which typically serves about 24+. After all the carving was said and done I’d say it would easily serve about 15

I made my own fondant a few time but people really seem to like Wilton Decorator Preferred White Fondant

This one is actually made from a doctored boxed cake mix because my scratch recipe is far to moist and delicate for carving. Just add an extra egg or two and use heavy cream instead of milk or water for a firmer structure to your cake layers
