If he normally interrupts people as Ed G said I would guess this ties up with his military background. He interrupts people when he thinks of himself being the higher rank but with Jordan he has noticed Jordan's superiority verbally and probably also listens because he realised very quickly that he can learn a lot from him.

3 years ago I was a heavy drug addict and roughly 130lbs soaking wet. Goin on 150, only smoke weed now (slowly turning more to edibles), train BJJ, and have an awesome 9-5 that I actually like going to. My anxieties are at an all time low, and I'm constantly looking towards more improvement. All thanks to these 2 men. 12 rules was the catalyst for me and through Peterson I found the Jocko podcast. Shit just hasn't been the same since 👌 I'm killing it now

Congrats! How did you do and manage all that; all on your own listening to them and the 12 Rules book, or did you get some support, money and help /treatment from social security etc? Me they have been abusing power for 11 years, working against my own good attempts at getting health care, therapy, assistence ; I have Aspergers, a stress-related spine disease and trauma from childhood. Have searched for help and learnt and treated myself as well as I could for 37 years, but can't make it alone and not when they sabotage , lie , deceive and misrepresent. I did some mistakes, like shouting some truths at the social security officials, not unprovoked of course, but they still seem to dislike me and want me unwell. My diagnosis , we often get misunderstood, but it is their job, they must know the truth, that we are not faking it, but really are disabled as well as gifted. JBP is for normal ppl , but I am sure I could make it too if I got a bit of good, regular support and basic safety, like mý home legal rights, reputation and good name as well as my money back. They kept me isolated and stressed, uncertain, unable to orientate what is going on and to plan my life, getting my CV updated, well.needed hahaha!
It is probablý because I am different and not good at concealing myself.
what ply is referred to here, is it a game of politeness and pretence that a workplace is better than it is?Or is it about accepting facts nd swallowing pride and ego-will to be right etc?
Shall I write to the government? I have used my creative ways. and am too stress-damaged and isolation-anxious, down and exhausted to think clearly, digest food, sleep, see friends (before they were gone), know what to do .

@@Medietos As long as you dont lie and deceive yourself, others misrepresentations will hardly matter! I'm sorry to hear tho, I totally get it. Goverment institutions can be a giant run around.
As for me, I had to get under my own skin and find the root cause for my sufferings. I heard about Peterson a while back, but it took me roughly 2 years or so to really sink in his teachings. Once I was able to read 12 rules tho it was perfect; it essentially captures all of Petersons most thought provoking ideas into one body of text. I wouldnt say that Petersons work is for "normal" people. In fact, I think a lot of "normal" people fail to see just how abnormal they really are. Reading and listening to JBP, I learned that all of humanity is inherently flawed, and that is in large part a good thing. Thank god we don't actually have perfect people on earth! That's a high standard no one can really achieve, no matter how able, smart, willing, successful or healthy. We all fail, and we all fall apart and wither into the oblivion at some point. But rather than taking the nihilistic stance, Peterson goes out of his way to express the existential idea of "existence preceding essence" a.k.a creating meaning in a meaningless reality.
I hope you do well and I hope that life starts to work itself out! Get after it and stand up straight with your shoulders back ;)

Goggins IS a badass with an impressive story of will and self-improvement, but his flaw is that he is very much an individualist, who when he speaks has this “me, me, me” mentality that makes people think that he only joined the SEALs to be a badass.
In other words, he doesn’t seem very team oriented and somewhat arrogant for the SEALs. But maybe that’s not it. Maybe there’s another reason that we don’t understand...

The only thing that bothers me is the social aspect of “ playing the game”. Such as people going to do the right thing in certain settings where they are being watched. But I do the right thing even better but it requires me to do it where I won’t be seen doing it. Yes when the day comes to test our results I will be higher up but the upper leadership will always put their face to hard work. Soon I’ll have to start playing the game and doing what I need to do in that setting where people see it and where people do not. So I can get the balance of upper leadership watching and my own personal success on my free time.

That's true enough. Although buddha was just a man, he founded an empire upon seeking enlightenment.
I agree with teachings like Annica, that all things change and shift over time. And the teaching of Dukka, that suffering is the natural state of life. I do however reject teachings like Annata, that says there is no self, humans have no soul, and should not own property.
Either way, people should read into it for themselves. Christ and Buddha have it in common that people form opinions about them from hear-say and never bother to look for themselves.

But, Jesus was also just a man. Unless you adhere to Christianity's view of Jesus as God, then our conversation has come to an unfortunate end.
If not, and you see him, and any other religious story as exactly what it is, a valuable story, then we can continue.
Your original statement was that there was no other man on earth like Jesus, I disagreed and countered with Siddhartha, The Buddha. I'm not a Buddhist, just an atheist who went through all major religions and believe systems, who couldn't find anything he could really believe in.
Jesus and Buddha preached the same message, and they both gained followers from that belief. They then told their followers (apostles) to spread their message. The only difference? Buddha goes back 6 centuries before Jesus was born. My hypothesis? Christianity is a western rip of off Buddhism. Jesus was based on the Buddha and all the lessons where structured after Buddhist teachings.

Some of the finest leaders in the Marines are black but that's not what's important. If you can earn the title of being a Marine you will be standing side by side with men and women of many races with a sense of pride and duty. You will ascend your mind beyond race and be with others who do the same.
Could you run into an occasional racist ass hole? Sure. But that's human nature and that person will get called out in a heartbeat. I went to Iraq with guys from Bolivia, Jamaica, Guyana, Nigeria, and many others. You know who we picked on the most? The reservist because they only work one weekend a month and couldn't keep up with us lol.
I served 5 years with two tours. My mom, dad, brother and brother-in-law all served as well. All of us as well as all our other brothers and sisters in the Corps would embrace you like family. IF you can earn the title that is.

Isn't it funny how tormented and conflicted people are by hierarchies YET hierarchies are so innate and natural to humans?...... *cough *cough

Mionysus it’s the human condition. Anyone at the bottom suffers the most. It’s how you climb that constitutes the amount of freedom, self esteem, confidence, and mating opportunities you’ll have. It’s hard wired. Great observation

@@peterter1430 95% of all human existence and evolution was not lived in hierarchies as the dictionary defines the term. In fact, we lived in what has been called reverse hierarchies where the nail who stuck out too much got hammered. I recommend looking into Christopher Boehm's works... in terms of its cultural and evolutionary significance, there is so much to the hierarchy/equality question that both sides are leaving out.

@@gregclarkreasons Don't even mention Jocko and Rogan in the same sentence. Rogan is literally a drug-taking comedian/entertainer/Hollywood dude, don't forget. Not that Rogan is some kind of bad person, but he's severely lacking in credibility. The only similarities between Rogan and Jocko are martial arts and lifting.

Neither here nor there, but I feel like this is the duality of male and female. Men are objective and focus on principle, but have no taste in social aesthetic. Women, by contrast are all about social aesthetic (relationship and 'value of significance') but are completely none objective or principled.
