    Really nice video. I've been trying to get a good latte out of my De Longhi machine but it was a cheap one (About $100 US) and it doesn't have the power or pressure to make an espresso with any crema, nor does the milk steamer really roll the milk well enough. So sad, I want to make beautiful latte art!

    • @Klassenfeind
      @Klassenfeind Před 8 lety

      +Kaiser68 Have you tried with a finer ground and a higher proportion of robusta, something like A70:R30? I get an immensely thick crema using Lavazza's Crema e Gusto (that's a 70:30 one), or Qualita Rossa, and these are pre-ground coffees actually designed for mokka pots. Another interesting thing, we use a De Longhi in the office and a very cheap semi-automatic at home, the latter produces more crema. It must have to do with the temperature settings. Can you regulate that on your De Longhi?

    • @TheSledgehammer205
      @TheSledgehammer205 Před 8 lety +3

      If you can, try to replace the milk wand from that - there are a few "Panarello wand" replacements that would screw on in place - but remove the frothing attachment which seems to add too much air and makes the milk too bubbly. When you remove the outer attachment, the needle-like inner part is just perfect to practice frothing. Good luck :)
