I’m going with big bang for the ko
One thing Zhang has a great ability at is to capitalise on moments when he stuns an opponent he will make sure 5 or 6 further punches will land and really push his opponents on the back foot. He's not going to showboat and he's also not going to just charge in and get caught up in a clinch. It's measured but doesn't just let those moments go, which happens weirdpy often in modern boxing.

He can punch for sure though. I think this will be an interesting fight. I’m not a fan but feels wrong to go against wilder with the power he brings. Anything can happen.

No foreman and Lyle were absolute MONSTERS in the ring with granite chins and unreal fitness, wilder and Zhang are dollar store bums in comparison who throw about 6 punches a round and will be exhausted after 4 rounds.
That would be special if it could be a modern-day Foreman-Lyle.

In the UK it's usually £24.95. It was the mid 90s that we first saw PPV boxing in the UK. How long has pay per view existed in the US?
Maybe people are more accepting of PPV in the US because it's been around longer?
Despite being a fairly rich country, England for the most part has low pay and high prices, particularly at present after leaving the EU. A significant percentage of the population don't have much or any disposable income. People here simply wouldn't pay £60-70 to watch boxing.
Respect to you for being discerning and drawing a line. If more people adopted your stance the price would have to be adjusted accordingly. In some regards it's partly the fault of the consumers for just paying what's asked unquestioningly.

It is strange. In the golden era of boxing though when Vegas has all the best fights I remember it felt like “we” (Brits) seemed to pay more for fights than Americans would also.

One very important thing that Teddy failed to address- Wilder had a two year lay-off prior to the Parker fight and his timing reflected that.
You are right and he was walking around with his woman holding hands instead of focusing on the fight. I think he is focused and there is no sign she is even gonna be at the fight.

He definitely gets my respect for fighting the top guys, but he just doesn’t have the skill set to get it done against some of these guys. He can still make a lot of money though and knock a few people out along the way. He just has to have people around him to tell him when enough is enough and walk away into the sunset.

Wilder needs to go back to his roots, yes power punching, stiff jabs and crosses. He also needs to evade and be elusive, move in and out. Dont engage too much in the clinch because Zhang is extremely dangerous with his short hooks and go to the body like he did with Stivern.
I think if Wilder focuses on the inside game, including subtle footwork to get inside Zhang's range, he'll eventually find the opening.
my hat goes off to Wilder, consider that there is not one other HW in the upper ranks weighing in at under 220. Very impressive!

I agree with Teddy that this will be a really interesting fight. It's really a toss-up as to who wins. I'll go with Wilder simply because I think he is able to connect with a right hand in the latter stages of the fight as Zhang tires. Wilder has shown throughout his career that his power carries over even into the late rounds. I'll go KO by Wilder in the 9th round but I won't be surprised in the least if Zhang wins. A true pick-'em fight. Great analysis Teddy!

It won't go to the later rounds because Zhang will KO him early. What makes you think a fight like this goes the distance? Someone will be out of there!
@@DIVISIONINCISION Neither one of them could stop smaller men in their respective last fights. And of course they both lost decisions that went the distance. A prediction is an educated guess. My prediction is it goes late but ends in a Wilder knockout. But it's also a pick-'em fight so of course it could end early if either man connects just right. Guess we'll see.
@@dprich100 Parker is actually a bigger man than Wilder, ironically. Shorter, but stockier. Wilder was like 216. Parker has always been 230-245.
Teddy's probably right, he's very accurate with making predictions.
Teddy states alot of obvious things such as age. Yes, even for a young guy, boxing 12 rounds at the pace required is so difficult. Usyk putting constant pressure on Fury was how he was able to win a decision and he came from behind to do it. That took tremendous stamina. Wilder's inactivity has hurt him. The Helenius fight was a blink of an eye. Sometimes you have to feel your opponent can't knock you out or beat you and just go after him. Fury did that in his 2nd Wilder fight. Maybe if Wilder shows up to fight and not Waltz around waiting to get hit, like his Parker fight, he might be better off against Zhang. He might get hit in the process but he calls himself a warrior so prove it. Go to war vs. Zhang.
Zhang has KOed Wilder in the 5th round, Teddy was right AGAIN! I've watched and read his prefight predictions for years and I've only known him to be wrong once.

38-year-old, inactive, Wilder lost to a 31-year-old, prime, Parker.
Will a 41-year-old Zhang be able to defeat 38-year-old Wilder? We'll see, but it's a very different match from the Parker fight.

I love Zhang but hes too huge of a target and absorbs shots from the high guard, he also can’t or won’t get out of the way and relies on his size to take the shot even with full guard. He can’t do that against Wilder.

Wilder was concussed by Fury. You would have to be blind not to know that. The amount of punishment Wilder took in all the Fury fights will catch up to him after his career is over. He was a punching bag in all three. Yes, he's more likely to get KO'd than Zhang. Parker was fortunate to get a decision against that guy.

The Fighters who beat Wilder had Great Head movement Furys was natural Parker used His entire body to keep head moving. Zhang cant stand straight with no head movement.
Reckon Wilder by KO in the 1st round. If you can't move around him or constantly pursue him and just brace for his punches, he will smash through you.
In terms of skill it's no contest, Zhang is the far better boxer and he can win i style, but he needs to set a pace he can maintain. He starts well but by the 7th/8th round he turns to cold teacle he's so slow. Age and sheer mass means he just can't fight at a high pace so he either needs to start slower and maintain a steady pace or just come out steaming and hope to stop Wilder inside 6 rounds.
Even though Wilder is a couple of years younger i think he's got the most damage and wear and tear coming into this, add to that the fact he isn't a very good boxer, plus he seems very mellow these days and I just think he is in this only for the big payday. If he loses to Zhang he'll still get a big fight with Hrgovic/Joshua/ Dubois/ Fury/ Usyk/ Parker just on his name alone. But it's clear both fury and wilder are not the same guys they were 4 or 5 years ago. if Wilder does win it'll be later on if Zhang gases out badly, but evenif Wilder Lands I don't think he knocks Zhang out, the guy is like a tree trunk and has a very good chin.

What's the future for Wilder if he loses this one?
It’s funny how two big HW fights are compete opposites. Zhang and Wilder are both at the end of their careers and probably the last big fight they will have. What they lack in skill they make up for in power but both of them should retire after this fight. Hrgovic and Dubois are both up and coming prospects but hit serious bumps. Dubois lost to Joyce and Usyk while Hrgovic looked less then impressive w/Zhang. The winner will get a chance to get a big fight

@@robraisor Statistically speaking, he’s about 20% right. So if you go against everything he takes, you have a 80% chance of winning in the long run. I think that’s a pretty good odds to go against him every time.
