An excellent show and tell. Your reasoning for success of the technique is sound. Will definitely try it when jig head become available. Other perch fishers are successfully now using jig head swim baits. So different from Carolina and High/Low techniques.

Thank you! It's a technique I've been dialing in for years now. I originally thought of the concept to specifically target Corbina and SpotFin in the shallows with much success! Then I started simply putting it past the break and BAM, monster slabs! It's been a ride so far and truly an addictive way to fish the CA Surfline! Very different and extremely effective for all sandcrab eaters. I appreciate the support! The limited drop of Surf Heads will be sometime towards the end of the week. @@ronmodafferi8202 I think it's called bloodworm but honestly anything natural looking will do. Brown, Green, Grey, etc. It's not the color they look for. Is the shape/contour they're after.

Thank you. I love this setup. Light but strong. Highly recommend. Careful out there. They'll get ya if you stray too far in.

I use "bloodworm" more than any of them but they pretty much all work. It's more of a profile the fish key in on for the few seconds they have in-between sets of waves. The most important part about my technique is indeed the surfhead. Hope that helps. Appreciate the support, thank you 😊

Nice man. These little lead heads have been killer. What length rod is that?

      Yooo, WASUP 🤙
These Surf Heads are fantastic! Makes it much easier to target crab eaters. The rod I'm rocking is a Fishing Syndicate 8' Trout Series 2-6# model. Matched with a Stradic CI4 1000 loaded with 6# braid with a 6# topshot. Light, strong, and kick ass fishing the skinny in Orange County.

@@FishingWithStingrayDrew sweet setup. Have that but paired with a fuego. I’m going to have to drive up from Oceanside to hit some of these OC beaches.
