Not sure I’m following but you can have multiple home Xboxes on on console.
@@ThreeFirstNames Ended up removing my main account from being the home Xbox and used the secondary account as being it. Then bought a year of gold and used the $1 gamepass ultimate deal to convert it to a year of GPU so now both accounts have it. However, my main account doesn’t get the benefits of getting the points from daily/monthly quests.

No unfortunately you cannot gameshare with one account on multiple consoles. You could temp switch and switch back but you only get 5 switches a year.

Game sharing seems to be working but live isn't. There used to be a second place to set that but I don't see it anymore.

Yes you can both play at the same rime. Just make sure the shared console doesn’t log into the main account once your have game share set up

To set home Xbox yes. After that you can remove it or only sign it in when you want to play on that account

An account can only be a home Xbox on one console at a time.
A console can have several acts as the home Xbox thiugh.
You can sign in an account on as many console as you want but will not be able to be played on at the same time though.

So you will not have to make yourself two accounts. Simply buy live and the digital games you want on your main account. Then on the console you give to your cousin sign into that console and make your gamer tag the home console on it.
Next create him a gamer tag to use. When he plays in his console he will use that gamer tag and you will use your gamer tag on any console you play on. The. You both can play at the same time under your own console.

You can just leave your gamertag on there and they can use that for 2 weeks. Or set it as home Xbox, then remove your gamertag Al you don’t have to worry about removing it after you no longer have access.

Looking to share Gold and Game Pass to get deals on games and such. My niece also uses her Xbox One to download games from his profile too. Would he just have to switch her console to "home" everytime she wants a new game or can he just buy the game on his account and she can download to her console? He could just leave his account on her console. Sign in to download games and anytime she wants to play as well. Then she can sign in after him to play under her own account.
Problem is if he wants to then play at the same time they can’t. Becomes more of a headache really.

Make sure your sons account says the Xbox console is his home Xbox

You can still download on either console under your account. So even if you downloaded them on your sons by accident you could still sign in on yours and then download them. But not necessary. Hope that made sense.

If I have xbox live gold (or gamepass ultimate) I have to set my xbox as my home xbox. Then, for example, if my brother signs in with his account, he gets access to Live and the other features. Right?
If you’re doing this on the same console you don’t technically have to but doing so will remove the need to sign your account in as well whenever he wants to play the games you own. So, yes it’s probably easier to do this :).

hi, make sure to follow the steps of setting the "home xbox" to make sharing possible. Since he purchased Live, you'll want to have him sign into your console and set the home xbox on your console. then you should be set. Let me know.

You can do that on the same Xbox yes. So just set your main account that has the gold as the home Xbox and then any accounts you add to your Xbox will get access to your gold and games.

In your circumstance no. He can share gold to your but your gold access cannot also be shared to someone else as you don’t “own” gold.

Make sure you check under subsrcriptions that it shows owned

Series X in basement with it as my sons home console
Xbox one in his room with me as the home console
I can play on both without issues however when he plays on series x I have to be logged in so he can access game pass also he’s part of my family so I’m not sure if I need to change that or something else……..we both want to be able to play on both of the consoles but can’t if I have to logged in so he can play on series x thx for any help u can give

So since you own the games and live you will be able to play on both consoles whenever you want.
However for your son he’ll only be able to play for free on one of the consoles without you being logged in.
Ex. Basement you out your account as home Xbox and he can play anytime without you logged in and you can play in his room no problem.
However n the above scenario he would not be able to play on his room console without logging you in first which means you can’t log in on absent one at the same time
Best case is when you both want to play at same time, pick which console you want to do that on only use it that way when doing so.
He can still play on his room one as well just has to log you in as well so only able to do that when you’re not playing.

Yes it will :). This is the point of Xbox allowing it.
@@ThreeFirstNames Unfortunately it's not working for me. The see more section cites a rule of one game at a time. On PSN my son can play at the same time with me, as long as his non plus account he's playing on is on the primary PS4. Xbox doesn't seem to allow this. It make you end the game session if booting any game while the other Xbox has a game booted.
Ok you have something set up wrong as it does allow you both to play at the same time.
Who owns the games? I assume you? If so, put your account as the home Xbox on HIS console. Once you’ve set it remove your gamertag,(you don’t have to do this but helps alleviate confusion)
Then sign his account in and he should be able to start playing.
Then on your console you can simply sign in and play too.

I did the home Xbox stuff on two Xbox’s but my family’s accounts on the original Xbox (that pays for Xbox live gold) can’t access gold features.

We’ll do you pay for live on each account? If so then yes you could ditch one of the paid live accounts.
If you are gamesharing then no, you could have one paid live subscription and then several non paid Xbox accounts on your console and share with them.
