    For somebody who grew up dyslexic in Ireland in the 70’s & 80’s, I will take to my grave the memories of self shame and burning embarrassment that comes with it, I had to hold back the tears watching this interview. Thank you Earlsie 🙏🏾

    The thing about Mr Earles is that anyone who knows him or is just a fan of.rugby look at this man as a figure to respect and admire. His commitment to the game and very obviously his country is clear for
    all to see. He is an Ireland great no matter about his background.
    He’ll conquer his post rugby career just like he did everything else.
    Top man!

    Well done on him speaking out but it dispels the myth about exercise helping mental health conditions. Here’s a guy who exercised like a maniac and yet he was as low as a pigs belly. The exercise advice offered by Doctors is just a one size fits all, generic piece of advice they offer to anyone with Depression, anxiety etc. There’s little rationale behind it. Some peoples anxiety / Depression is that bad they can’t even go to the gym or run down the street in front of people.

      It need not mean it is a myth just that it doesn't work for everyone. For some exercise will help their mental health.

    • @christiaantheron9080
      @christiaantheron9080 Před 2 lety +3

      Exercise to relax or simply to be outside is very different. The pressure of training to win games or to rehabilitate serious injuries require a mental pressure that walking the dog or playing football with the kids in the back garden doesn't require.

    • @garyodriscoll7988
      @garyodriscoll7988 Před 2 lety +1
