I've always had tinitus for as long as I can remember.
Even as a Child there was always this anoying ringing in my ears, I can't imagen what silence sounds like, I never heard it
Yes its the same for me. Interestingly I also had other hearing problems as a young child but those got fixed. I thought it was just a normal thing until I saw this video.

Don’t worry about it man, anyway pretty much no-one has ever heard true silence since everyone has a slight pitch in their ears due to their immune system, blood and other things.

I hear perfectly according the my tests at the doctor, but I do get a very slight ring that is barely noticeable at night, so I’m not sure if it classifies and tinnitus or not.
The Crimson Chin I felt the same way you did two years ago. Had it ever since. I noticed a slight ringing in my left ear and I thought nothing of it when I was in bed the first time. I hear the ringing only when I pay attention to it, but it's obviously noticeable when the night is quiet and I'm tucked in bed. I only hope that the ringing doesn't get worse as time passes by. It can be very terrifying at times but you have stay positive and try your best to keep your mind off of it.
Same. But my mom has tinnitus. And sometimes she can't bear the noise, while I can easily ignore it. It might not be tinnitus for us but a ringing none the less.
Edit: I'm not saying it's nothing, but it seems that tinnitus is on a different level of sound. But idk what am I? A doctor?

I hear a slight never ending beep, Im not sure if ITS tinnitus because i have gotten used to it so it does not bother me anymore and from What i have heard thoose with tinnitus never gets used to it

For me It's not an actual sound, it's only in the mind, constant , high pitched hissing,but more noticeable when there's silence. No actual hearing loss. It's just annoying. Masking helps. I suspect the cause was listening to music with ear buds. I quit as soon as it started. Didn't help. The dry fasting for a couple of days idea seems like a good one. It's better than shelling out more money for something that doesn't work.

I have some minor tinnitus then I guess. I always thought it was normal to hear ringing for a few minutes every so often. I usually say stuff like “Flashbang” or “Look out, grenade” and it’s not a problem because it’s usually something to fill the silence. It’s nice but I can imagine how annoying it is for people who hear it constantly.

Oh, I have tinnitus. I always thought it was due to feedback amplification in the ear because the more I noticed it the louder it would get. My personal cure was just to focus on something else .

My hearing is good most of the time, although I do sometimes find it difficult to hear people properly when they're talking to me and I do experience a constant muffled ringing sound in my ears.

I thought mine, was just those deafning whistle. But I got soo shooked and my anxiety went uo high, knowing tinnitus can be in many form which really haopen to me, the beat of pulce I can hear them once in a while and some other things.

I think I have tinnitus. One night I woke up and heard a super loud buzz, but there were no bugs in the room.
Well, the easiest way to find out is to sit in a completely silent room and if you hear complete silence, you do not have tinnitus, but if you hear any sort of buzzing/white noise/ringing, then you do have it.

My tinnitus is so bad that every once a week, sometimes three or four times a day, one of my ears go completely deaf. So, I'm listening to some music with headphones on and working, and suddenly, one of my ears go deaf, this was the first time it happened, and I thought "Wait, did the headphone get damaged in some way?" and I unplugged and then plugged the AUX cable, and still I couldn't hear anything in my left ear. So I suspected it might be my own ear. I rotated the headphone and put it on that way, and yep, it was my ear. I was so terrified, I thought I was going deaf! And this went on for too long, like, it went on for 2/3 minutes. I was completely sure I was deaf. And then I could hear sound in it again and I felt so relieved. I still haven't went to the doctor though.

Im a dentist. Tinnitus is a TMJ disorder (TMD) symptom. Meaning if you have tmd, though not all the time but you will also have a tinnitus. Why not refer it to the dentist who specialize with tmd?

My dad's theory on how he can mend tinnitus is increasing the bloodflow to his ear in the right way somehow.
There is a very loud high pitched noise in my "brain" but I am not noticing it a while .... after a while I am noticing it and it suddenly stops (so weird). Its getting louder and louder until I'm aware of it. I am hearing it but without hearing until it gets loud enough. It's like someone in the background is talking to you and u don't notice him after he is loud enough. Or it's like reading a book without taking the information out of it.(Just weird)

I am hearing a high pitched tone since a couple of days and it all started after I did exercise like headstand. After few seconds of headstand, I feel pain in my bone connecting my left jaw and skull and I heard a loud high pitched ringing.

I actually do hear ringing even though I am actually 14 rn and as per the whistling...It gonna be a week or so since it has started to happen tbh I never knew what tinnitus actually is until today I googled up why I keep on hearing whistling..but the whistling I hear is very different its like... a small short whistle of a middle aged guy which I hear 2-3 times everyday I asked my mom if she has heard anything like that but she said no..So what does all this mean??

er all the years of having Menieres diseases and constant ear ringing , it is nice to sit in a quiet restaurant without anything bothering me. Even the fullness in the bad ear is hardly noticeable. And the constant ear ringing is gone.Took 4weeks ?thanks Dr Liam Ogbebor centre CZcams channel for the tinnitus program and herbal ear drop treatment and I hope it stops for everyone else sooner. It just sucks, I’m 36 and have that ringing, one ear is better, so when even trying to talk to ppl I have to lean in a different way to catch with they are saying, and a lot of the times ask me to repeat. It gets annoying, even for ppl around me too. So mine is just like a small bell I your ear ringing constantly, one ear is more frequent. But when talking to ppl. I don’t always hear everything, and I’ve gotten to the point where just trying read lips. Lol😂 it’s bad. Fucking hate it. I worked as a kid around heavy machinery and older too,Molisch played a while with so,e bands. I know that messed my ears up. If I knew earlier, I would have worn ear plugs n stuff. But I was very young😂

Me, it's real, in my case simetimes the buzz encrease and then gets low again, I made audiometry and doctor says that I have a acustic trauma, I have a high frequency hearing loss around 16000Hz that's why the sound, Brain feels like isn't receiving some sounds and then it create them. And also I have hiperacusy, some noises sounds very high for my ears. But anyway I can listen perfectly, that little hearing loss is imperceptible. My recomendations were:
Use headphones just when it is necessary, with moderate volume and not much time (The best is not using it)
In case that you hace hiperacusy like me, when I go to noisy places I have to use ear plugs (it could be cottom or you can buy it)
Try not to stress, eat healty I dont drink too much, alcohol and cafeine in excess can be bad.
Don't be sedentary, I mean, you dont need to go to gym because you have tinnitus, but avoid unhealthy life.
You can do your normal life, just take care about the noise, but that sound is an alert for you to TAKE CARE of your ears, don't let tinnitus control your life, you have to control your ears so that this does not come to dominate you.
