- Any questions about two-time champion older female Zenyattas prowess on a dirt surface were answered with a huge exclamation point on Friday at Oaklawn Park.
The six-year-old Street Cry (Ire) mare won her 16th start without a defeat, matching the streaks of Citation, Cigar, Hallowed Dreams, and Mister Frisky as she took over on the turn under jockey Mike Smith and coasted to a 4 1/2-length victory in the $500,000 Apple Blossom Invitational Stakes (G1).

Man, we really were robbed of a legendary face off between Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra.
Lord help us, I believe she skips across conventional dirt even faster than she does a synthetic track. She found herself on the lead so quickly today, that she almost looked confused, as to what to do, having the lead that quickly. LOL. If Rachel Alexandra had been at Oaklawn today, the fractions would've certainly been faster, but the outcome of the race wouldn't have changed one iota. IMO. She never broke out of an exercise canter, and was under a hand ride the whole race. Unbelievable mare.
Zenyatta is not even running in that race, she is just cantering along, her ears are not even layed back, while the other horses are coughing and struggling for air with their ears far back and running for their lives.

She's going to be incredible tomorrow. Where did the whole thing about the dirt being a problem come from? haha Look at her! btw, I loved her little flying lead change at the very end. ;) Racehorse, hunter (she barely changed her stride to move up to the front!) and dressage horse, she can do it all!

I believe Rachel Alexandra would get to far ahead of Zenyatta... i'm a fan of both but i believe Rachel would have won.
