- We had a chance to film Zenyatta in the Paddock at Lane's End Farm. The snowy backdrop was picturesque, and she had no issues with footing in her recently graded paddock. Photo prints from this shoot can be ordered at gallery.pictopia.com/bloodhors...

Beautiful! I'm so happy to see her adapting and she looked so happy to just be able to kick up her heels and run freely. I think she's going to enjoy reitirement and motherhood and I hope they let the public see her from time to time. She's one horse who truly loves people. :-) Stay well and happy Zenyatta!
She is stunning. And her people are remarkable --all of them. Lane's End is now part of Team Zenyatta and she looks great. Love that sassy tail! Oh my gosh. Cranked and then some! No cotton in her ears, so now she can hear the hushed sounds of a Kentucky winter... and she listens. What a beauty.
As much as I'm going to miss her race and miss see her in California, I'm really happy that's she's healthy and having a ball. She's our modern day Secretariat! Thank you for sharing- I teared up just watching her.
Aww, it's so nice to see the big girl happy. She's just as beautiful as ever.
Truly one of the greatest racehorses in history. Thanks sweet girl, for the memories.
Zenyattas owners truly care for her. Shes one of the only race horses I can like because of how the owners treat her. I hate racing overall, but with Zenyatta and her owners she makes a difference.
Seeing my beloved Queen running free looking so content and happy means the world to me.So wonderful and joyous to see them all together for this moment. Thank you Team Zenyatta for taking such good care of her. That now includes Lanes End for their wonderful care. You are now part of our family you know. Thank you Bloodhorse. Most of all thank you Zenyatta for all the smiles, thrills, chills, and joy.You are the gift that keeps on giving. What JOY!!...
Zenny may be retired from racing, but Her Majesty continues to make us smile with such joy! Thanks for posting this beautiful video... I've watched it at least a dozen times!! :-)
This video is such a gift and I'm sure I will return to view it often as it captures the joy in Zenyatta - the essence of all the pleasure she has given to me these past years as I have followed her career. It surprises me how much I love this horse that I have only seen *in person* once. She is amazing, as are all of her connections. Thank you for sharing this moment with her devoted fans.
I was at Churchill Downs to see Blame defeat Zenyatta in 2010. Many of us wept at witnessing the drama. I visited Blame on November 24, 2018. He looks good. My heart has always been with Zenyatta since 2010. This video helps me process that moment in my life, in hers. Thank you for sharing these scenes. It means a lot to me. 🏇
LOVED this video! Zenyatta is about as perfect a horse as they come and I love to see her SOOO excited! I loved how she was talking up a storm and holding court~ just stunning....
A true champion. Beauty, intelligence, & loving life. Running is her passion.
Wow. What a truly beautiful animal God created to put on this Earth. And how great of Lane's End to let cameramen record her. She looked like a newborn frolicking filly. May God bless her and keep her healthy and happy for many more years to come.
Grace, class, horse racing royalty...Secretariat the King, Zenyatta the Queen....I dont think I will ever see 2 like them again. Great video, thanks for posting. We love Zenyatta!
Thank you so very much for this video, you have no idea how much I love this horse and am praying she gets horse of the year. Even though I was at the Breeders' Cup 2010 I didn't get to the meet and greet the next day. My dream until the day I die is that I get to touch her. She made me happy in the year I lost my Mother and gave me hope when nothing else did. I start my day reading "her blog" and I tell everyone about her because I have pictures of her at my front desk job. Love, Michele
Hope someone sells some of those photos of her running in the snow! I'll make it wallpaper in my race room for sure. What a beautiful moment!
She's absolutely breath-taking.... words can't even describe it. What a gift from Heaven! Thank you BloodHorse, for such a beautiful video of the Queen. It's the perfect Christmas gift..... as well as a great relief to see with my own eyes how wonderfully happy she is after me being so worried about the transition. Thank you Team Z!!! You're all a gift to horse racing yourselves.
Such a majestic beauty to behold.
Quote from the movie... Pretty Woman...." you look stunning and very tall."
Truely stunning! A wonder to behold! Running like the wind!
Just an incredible Christmas present to all of Zenyatta's fans! What a spectacular display of joy! I loved it that she was still so excited that she was doing her dance steps back to her barn. Wow!
Thanks for posting this video. I wish we could see daily episodes of the "Life of Zenyatta". It was wonderful to see her surrounded by her adoring California connections as well as her new Kentucky caregivers. Everyone looks very pleased, and Zenyatta looks wonderful.
Great video. One of the best horses of all time. Thanks for sharing.
Zenyatta is a very lucky girl to have the owners she had.She will be pampered until she draws her last breath as an old lady. All horses should be treated the same way.🐎
Brings tears to my eyes to see her this happy. Thank god she has such wonderful connections who treat her so remarkably well.
She deserves it, and those who take care of her are privileged.
I see a beautiful gorgeous creature that is set free to be on her own, and I think the other reason we loved her so much was the love by her owners, and caretakers of her shown here, including her trainer who waited until she grew into her body. I see nothing lame about her, never have ever, and I know she is checked daily. I have never ever seen the love, not the money aspect of a horse taken into consideration that her owners have done. I know everyone around her truly loves her. Michele
Thank you so much for this. As fans, we feel SO much better about her being out there now. NOT an unhappy girl, we can see how much joy is in her. Running free without a rider must feel pretty great!!
She is just amazing. Her spirit is unmatched. I love her.
I watch it every day. Gives me just the best feeling.
Can't thank all involved enough for getting this video together! It's just stunning. Our California girl looks like she's loving life in Kentucky. Take good care of her....
This is such a timeless video of Zenyatta! She is the absolute pinnacle of a Champion! .. An awesome winning machine! If I ever have a chance of a 2nd life I want to come back as the Zen Master! She has captured my heart & sole as I would put her on the same pedestal as Secretariat! She even looks so powerful & still wanting to race around in her chill out days! I don't think we will soon see another one her kind in a long long time. I'm glad I was alive to see her race!.. Just breath taking!
What a beautiful video in every way. It brought tears of joy to my eyes. May she live a long and happy life...Merry Christmas Zenyatta!
I WANT there to be a movie about this horse. I'm just waiting to hear when it comes out. Thank you for this lovely video clip.
She is just beautiful i love her! 1:51 Mario!
She is PERFECTION. I luv this horse soo much. :)
Thanks for sharing the video! She looks fantastic and it's great to see her having so much fun in the snow! You know they're enjoying themselves when they whinny and run at the same time! ;)
She's absolutely GORGEOUS. Gorgeous. What a brilliant eye and what a gorgeous gorgeous mare. Ever thought of a ConnemaraX baby for sporthorse competition? ;) It's truly a joy to see a TB who clearly adores people, clearly loving her life, just enjoying being a horse. Kudos to her owners and handlers, she is the shining picture of equine happiness!
Thank You Blood Horse and Lane's End for this spectacular video!
I'll never tire of seeing this video. It would be nice if Zenyatta naysayers would go to the site of a horse they love and write nice things--I won't follow you there and write negative things, I promise. :-) This horse is one special horse and when I saw her at the Breeders Cup last fall, they had record attendance--and that crowd was there mostly due to her. We love her--the end of discussion.
I've watched this video time after time, and the same words keep coming to mind: No more stud chains, no living in a stall day after day, no more lead ropes restricting her movement. Although I must say selfishly I miss watching her race, watching her like this helps me to let go...
Perfection in motion! Thanks Bloodhorse :)
Mario looks so incredibly happy to be with his big girl again. It truly does bring tears to my eyes.
Is it the same Groom that was with her on the track? She certainly is relaxed with him
thanks so much....all us fans hope she is happy in Kentucky....this proves it! She is still a wonder to watch!
I watch and enjoy this Beautiful horse. I Hope she produces wonderful babies.
Just another perfect day for the queen! She's happy 😊!
She is poetry that touches hearts. From her eagle eye to that high flying tail when she realized she was on her own. Squealing and bucking and racing because she felt like running. Her quiet moment with her groom and that "hurry, hurry" walk of impatience with her LE handler. She is a treasure and I'm looking forward to her new documentary. If it was on Amazon pre-order, it would be in my "cart". :)) She is ever inspirational, Zenyatta.
Poetry in motion. Just watching this video makes my day. She knows just how special she is. She looks like The Black when she holds her tail up like she was when she was playing. Just gorgeous. Zenyatta forever!!
What a beauty! I just love to see her! She is really an amazing. She enjoys the snow 😍
I just realized that every time I watch this I end up smiling. What a great video - thanks Bloodhorse - you did a great job on this.
Congratulations Z.....Horse of the Year 2010!!!!!!!
Great Video! I'm glad she is happy at Lanes End Farm. I see she still has her trademark Spanish walk dance and she is free as a bird. :). Happy Valentines Day Zenny!
Thank you so much for posting~ Kick up those heels!! Merry Christmas to the whole Team Z and the queen that brought us together~
With love from a southern girl in the 818
All the world holds their breath waiting for this day :) now we exhale with joy :)
It has been so nice to be able to follow her life at Lane's End. I always wonder if she likes it or if she still wants to race.
I could watch horses for hours, especially when it's cold and windy, they get so Frisky and have such a wonderful time. I love Zenny!
Great video, One of the best of all time. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, we really thought she was going to be the most special "one", with all the heartbreaks horse racing is known for it's no surprise she lost her last race and goes into the history books as "just another horse" that put America on her back, took us for a promising ride, only to come up short. Horse racing history is filled with great stories that end up wondering what might have been. Great IMAX video potential of her running over the snow and around her farm. Big seller!
If she’s happy there I’m happy for her because I love her. She’s a great resource, one of the greatest and I hope she’ll enjoy being a mama.
Look at that tail! Mario looks like the proud papa and Z sure loves him.
Must scare the lane’s end folks to have her running like that in the snow love the “dance moves “ at beginning of her walk to the gate ( similar to what she does pre-race: what a magnificent mare😬❤️❤️❤️glad she’s having some fun in retirement 😬❤️❤️❤️❤️
@elflopso A vet was on site during the shoot and the staff was cognizant of everything Zenyatta did. I'm confident if anything was wrong they would have taken her back to the barn. Every time we post a video of Zenyatta someone claims she is lame.
Thank YOU for posting this beautiful video.
the heavyweight champion of the world ZENYATTA
Special lady. So hope she is well now. Loved her
Oh my you can tell she loves running.
She's gorgeous. simply gorgeous.
What a show beautiful!
not a bad place to retire
love ya zenyatta.all hail the queen
She seems so delicate and careful. She must be wonderful to work with.
She looks even more beautiful in the snow :-)
THANK YOU for posting!!!!
Totally enjoyed your video! Thanks for posting! Such a beautiful girl!
May you know all the Joy this video has given me time & time again....Thank you!
We sure miss you Queen Z!!! XOXO
I dont know much about horses, but she looks to me like she wants to race some more, she looks perfect!
Glad fans can see her in her retirement from racing at Lanes End😬❤️❤️
Am hoping Monday evening is Miami is as perfect as Zenyatta is! Best hopes and thanks to her East and West coast teams....I'll be watching
Her connections say they have never seen her run at her full power. This small paddock certainly won't allow that and we know we are looking at the last of her maiden athletic figure, but what joy to see her run a little and enjoy herself.
beautiful! what every OTTB deserves -- room to run, people who care and some carrots.
Beautiful video of this powerhouse....
Mike Smith is right. she is "everything" Forget Horse of the Year, she is Horse of a Lifetime!
Beautiful. Thank you. Enjoyed it. She looks awesome (and NOT lame) to me!
OMG! She's loose! Good girl Zenny! Now you can be a real horse! Don't get carried away though! What a great Christmas present for the Queen!!
she terribly happy to see her friends
thank you... for the pleasure...
@lovetheponies i am glad they visit often. i hope all involved thru her raceing that was close visits. it would be pretty cruel to forget about her.
I love you Zenyatta!
Up to #30 top favorited today in the sports category. Thanks for all of your feedback!
She loves running beautiful horse!
Long live the queen
I love you so much my Quenn ❤
She is magnificent! And she SURE DOES NOT look lame to me! She is a beauty with character to spare! Love her!
For whomever that said she looks lame... get some glasses and learn something about horses before you critique them!
hail Queen Zenyatta !!
I'm an American Pharoah fan boy. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!!!!!!!
Daenerys Targaryen in the form of a horse.
what a beautiful mare
I noticed the dance steps too (thinking oh does that when she’s excited not just in anticipation of a race
@21Sarabi, yes that is what happened (reabsorption of the embryo). She will be bred back to Bernardini soon, this week supposedly.
@dxnisoz38, Zenyatta is boarded at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.
That's one happy horse.
I hear she will be bred to Bernardini - he's around her age was also Horse of the Year during his time and is the son of AP Indy and the grandson of Secretariat. Don't know how big he is though....he may need a soapbox cause Zenyatta is a big strong lady. ;-) I was pleased when I heard the choice. The Mosses are being very careful and considerate of their horse...that pleases me too.
@petewentzlover101010 Yes, she're retired at Lane's End farm in Kentucky. She's to be bred to Bernardini.
As long as I live Zenyatta will be the greatest race horse ever, short of Secretariat, thank God to Kari from Animals Rock 4 Love, I got to see her in her last race, what an amazing creature, we lost Kari and now I have cancer, I want to see her second child born, Queen Z's Perfection, I think it is a girl, I named her first son Queen Z's Legacy, I simply love her and her owners Ann and Jerry Moss, what great people they have been, Michele.
