Hello everyone, the modern day "Music Man" here. I'm actually a tuba player as you may well know so let me explain......the excitement of 2 huge sections getting a chance to pounce on one another was too great. I know they all wish they could have that back
No worries. Everyone wants to criticize but what was most obvious was both bands were just having fun. No stakes quick little jabs. It wasn't kill mode just group of musicians having fun.
As a tuba player who marched at a colligate level they just having fun. Some people hate just because they can't do it. đ€·ââïžđ€·ââïž
As a fellow tuba player these are bangers and theyâre great.

Both groups need some sectionals. Once they do that they will be fine. Obvious tempo issues. That's one of the downfalls of being split on the side of the band.

Being split up on the side of the band isn't the problem, it's the fact that they're not listening to one another. Both sections need to work on playing together.

All of this shit sounds bad. No tone just a bunch of splat. I graduated high school in 2011 and did my last show in 2016 so maybe Iâm from a different era of tuba playing where cleanliness and concept mattered.
I figured they got to excited and forgot to pay attention. Happens a lot when you trying ti crush the competition

The only thing I don't like is they both had tempo issues. Other than that. Pretty decent job. Dega has like 10 part fanfares. Sometimes the Harmony gets so distorted you lose focus on what's being played. Jsu got lost in the sauce playing degas game. Stick to your own guns. But thumbs up guys.

Talladega problem is musicality. Trying to be too loud. Both need to work on the tempo though and clean up some notes.

It seems itâs a difference lining up on level ground and posting in the stands. When the real experience comes this program is going to run the band world. But until thenâŠ.

I feel jackson state couldve been louder and in sync..i also feel that dega couldve brought that low tone out, or have more on that note. Its a beautiful thing to play octaves up, and ring the stadium..i mean i was at MBC with the same killer instinct to destroy the opps, jackson state know bout it lolol..but nah, really what im saying is, being in sync with that low bottom is the thing..when playing up in ttombone notes became the new thing? Sounds good in SOME spots, but that shouldnt be main part of a fanfare..im just saying..they iiight, just practice being as one person, thinking on one accord, and it all will fall in place..the sound from both sections should be louder than what they were, and in sync. One band one sound

Both sides TEMPO ISSUES! Wish they could come together as a unit as opposed to the sides maybe the tempo wouldnt be such a problem. Other than that both sections were decent but Dawg Team was way crisp & cleaner than Dega. Please tell me Dega arent marching Conns & sounding like this???

Y'all have to understand, when you're outside, the sound is gonna bounce off everywhere. I'm in marching band and I see no reason why people saying that it sounds bad. Understand that if you outside, with air, with no walls, OBVIOUSLY IT'S GONNA SOUND LIKE THAT. đ€Šđ»ââïž
You can hear parts where their sound is separate and other parts where itâs together thatâs how we know itâs then not the venue. If they were together weâd hear 2 sets of the same thing

They both was sloppy all the way through the whole battle. And dawg team couldâve kept that last fanfare at the end after they messed up then it was call out at that, so yep it was a draw. Nobody won
