This is another amazing video, as my prior learning about the 特急券 and 乗車券 were always complexed and less understandable. But it’s clear now that the 乗車券 is described as basic ticket and the the とっきゅうけん into express ticket as you explained. Thank you Mr. Lost😊

For large suitcases do u need to reserve a space for them or can we hop on and just place our suitcases in the available spaces?
You can not reserve a spot! So Yes! You can just put the luggage on available spaces!

If you don't have space to store large items like the trunk, I think you can use the trunk space of another carriage. There is also space above your head to store your luggage.（ 06:02 )

If you have a Suica card on Apple Pay is there a scanning option at the ticket machine?
Apple Pay Suica cards cannot be used at ticket machines, but you can pay for basic tickets by touching your smartphone at the automatic ticket gate.

yes. Narita Express (NEX) goes directly to Shinjuku, so there is no need to transfer.
Coming from Australia landing early evening … is it advisable to book before we go that way we have a secure ticket?
We recommend purchasing in advance. You can buy them locally, but they are very crowded during this season.
I still wondering. How we can go to Asakusa by Nex?
To get to Asakusa from Narita Airport, it is more convenient to take the Sky Access Limited Express than the NEX. There are also trains that go directly from Narita to Asakusa. Please check the timetable as not all of them are.

The second ticket is your receipt.

If you have a Suica, you don't need a basic fare ticket.

If you use reserved seat ticket vending machines at JR stations, you can reserve and issue a reserved seat for your Japan Rail Pass without waiting in line at the counter.
① Scan the QR code written on the Japan Rail Pass into the reserved seat ticket vending machine (or enter the identification number written on the pass) and enter your passport number.
②Enter your desired ride section, date and time, and select the train and equipment. (If you have reserved a reserved seat through the online sales service, please select the itinerary for which you would like to issue a ticket.)
③ We will check the contents and issue the ticket if there are no mistakes.

One is a receipt, so it is not a ticket.
@@wearelostinjapanat 2:41 you wrote that you got two tickets and a receipt. Did it print out three papers or just two? I’m also lost because it said you got two tickets AND a receipt. To get through the gate you only need to insert one ticket though, correct?
