  • In this video I explain how I make inexpensive race gas for my Dirt Bike.
    Directions:
    use your favorite brand non-ethanol pump gas with a minimum of 90 octane.
    purchase a can of VP Racing Fuels Madditive Octanium Unleaded 32oz
    Pour 1 quart into 10 gallons = 8#'s of octane gain or 3.2 ounces per gallon
    Pour 1 quart into 20 gallons = 4#'s of octane gain or 1.6 ounces per gallon

      Been doing it for almost a year and it works good and the VP people have dyno tested it..so I am good with it...make sure to read the directions for mixing.

    Hi Dave,
    I’m not sure your math is correct. If 16 ounces to 10 gallons of gas increases your octane level by 8, wouldn’t 8 ounces in 5 gallons also raise your octane by 8?
    Great videos, keep ‘‘em coming.

      I was told there would be no math..🤣 but yes I was saying the wrong thing.

    Keep it in mind 90 or 93 is minimum require if you test the octane is a little be highier but thats a great advice thanks

      That's what I said...start with 90 non-ethenol and add the Octanium...depending on the mix 94 or 98 octane verified by VP themselves.

    Can I just add this Vp additive to my 93 from gas station even if it has some ethanol in it? Also u said use the unleaded one but u are holding the purple can in video

    In my country we have a 100 octane gasoline at the gas station and it cost 1.50 euros!I always use the 100 octane gas for my dirtbike

      Your 100 octane is about the same as our 93. US and Europe use different scales.

    Guys Here is a fine example of why not to drink and film..🤣 .I had the math wrong on what to add to five gallons., so instead of messing it up again here is the mixture from the label...you can work backwards from that...please accept my sincere apology.
    Directions
    Pour 1 quart into 10 gallons = 8#'s of octane gain 3.2 ounces per gallon
    Pour 1 quart into 20 gallons = 4#'s of octane gain 1.6 ounces per gallon

    Is it a booster or a contagient?

  • @Dashriprock4
    @Dashriprock4 Před 7 měsíci

    If I'm not mistaken, this doesn't take your gas from 90 to 94. It takes it from 90 to 90.4. big difference. Check and see but I think I'm correct here

      Says 80 pts on 5 gallons. So 8 whole numbers.

  • @mikebishop6095
    @mikebishop6095 Před rokem

    Your right 4 oz would be 4 points on five gallons

    Lol @ the boomer logic. Ethanol fuel is perfectly fine. The only issue with ethanol fuel is long term storage due to water absorption. If you weren't buying garbage ethanol free fuel which is much more prone to detonation, you wouldn't need the VP additives.

    That's not race gas that's additive. Funny do more reserch.
