I am so emotional. I have just watched this and I know what symptoms have raised their head since my covid experience in 2020.
What I am so sad about is; I still experience so many of these “symptoms”. At what point do these “symptoms” become just my life going forward.
I am in the UK. As a “victim” of covid - I have zero support. We are nowhere near as advanced as the USA. The only answers I ever get is: I am sorry: we don’t know. Even four years later.
I only saw a post a couple of weeks ago who described “post exertional malaise” and I screamed at the tv THAT’S IT. THAT’S IT. So why don’t my dr’s see it.
I could just cry. I have no idea where to go. But thank you.

Thank you Toby for explaining the symptoms of Cronic Fatigue Syndrome. I now understand why I'm Alway's so tired. I thought it was my Addisons disease playing up. And was going to make an appointment to see my specialist about it. I now realise that it's CFS I'm suffering from. Glad you put it easy enough for us to understand the difference between the 2.

Oh my goodness! This is so refreshing to hear you mention this! So many don’t understand how debilitating it is! If there was a checklist for what you mentioned re; “ symptoms!” I tick literally every single one! This should be spread far and wide to medical professionals etc… I believe some of us get it , because we are strong people! And often , we push ourselves so much that eventually we pay for it physically! If you’re in an environment that you can’t get out of that makes it much harder l think! But, that’s another story! Much gratitude for your enlightening words! 🙏💜 So refreshing to hear this!

EXACTLY WHAT I HAD HALF WRITTEN AND DECIDED TO DELETE MY COMMENT....THINKING WHAT'S THE USE ..EVERYONE THAT'S COMMENTING ALREADY KNOWS WHAT I AS A SEVERE SUFFERER WAS GONNA SAY....LOL...BUT YOU SPOKE MY WORDS MUCH MORE ELABORATELY WITHOUT ALL MY USELESS DETAILS ...BUT YES, I SAID TO MYSELF, I SUFFER WITH ALL THESE SYMPTOMS... INCLUDING SEVERE MIGRAINES SINCE I WAS 20. I TURN 73 THIS MONTH
      WELL SAID...THANK YOU

The information is helpful, thank you. But for people with these conditions the sensory overload of background ‘music’ and graphics that flash onto the screen is very off-putting. Joined-up thinking please!

9 out of 14. Never feeling rested or refreshed after sleeping is horrible. Im always tired. Brain fog isn't fun either. You think you're losing it. Flu like achy feeling, didnt know that was a symptom of CFS. I wish more health care employees knew these symptoms. People get tired of me complaining about how tired I am, how achy I am, well I'm tired if saying it!

I Totally understand. I once wrote on a test for my Dr. “ I am SO Tired of being TIRED.” I don’t think she could address or truly comprehend the level of frustration I was trying to convey. Not being able to Function physically/ mentally in our society is like working with a drained old battery. It’s Not Menopause. It’s not “Lazy”. It’s NOT Normal. It has been a Huge relief to find CFS and finally know what IT is! Many of us are dealing / coping with the same debilitating stuff. I realized that faking - or masking “I’m fine”& putting a smile on my face when I was truly dying inside-Was also exhausting me. I needed to slow right down, ask for help, give my body the breaks and best sleep/ nutrition/ etc. that I can. It’s getting more manageable, but it would be a lot easier if our “ health systems “ were able to recognize these patterns and offer solutions that aren’t just bandaging the deeper problems. I suspect many more people will find themselves fighting these virusesand the affects could be staggering to modern society in the years to come. 🤺🧯🥷

Chest pain in Long Covid is often associated with a chronic endothelitis and micro clotting.
For me nervous system regulation is very important but its not the only part of healing. Often in LC there are if u have a good doctor with the right methods you can discover endothelitis and chronic inflammation. GPs arent aware how to treat lung issues in long covid. Even pneumologists often do have no clue. Its a mess. We cant wait for years for studies. Most symptoms are cureable with nervous system work, but especially in LC you have to check the lungs for micro circulation disorder to know If there is a problem.
Good luck for everyone with mecfs and LC. Wish you the best!

Shove ur micro clot theory up yo ass
It’s comments like these that make me go backwards in recovery, why do you have to confuse everyone and say stupid things about clotting, chest pain is one of the most common anxiety symptom

    • @edjack5on
      @edjack5on Před 6 měsíci +1

I fully agree. We have a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon to simplify Long Covid issues with somatic pain only. Although the nervous system plays a significant role in further symptoms, it has a physiological component, such as microclots impacting organs, T-cell dysregulation, and chronic inflammation.

@@CFSHealthi feel from experience your symptom load will be a result of what the actual illness you had that may have caused a post virial syndrome & new afflictions seem to add & or change that symptom set over time as do environmental events or circumstances re daily or 😮 even in the moment...
i consider myself well managed thru what i do for my health however i still have symptoms that haven't left me & therefore my management is utmost in keeping as well as possible.
no offence directed at anyone but i actually laughed out loud when i went to a LC page on my GPs website & in the majority it appeared to be a cut & paste job from an ME/CFS article with a few exceptions... this after my gp seemed outwardly sceptical of same... such is life... onward & upward

Are you for real I've had ME for 24yrs and still no treatment found so if you think your going to get the symptoms explained keep wishing ! This information is to confirm what long covid and ME/CFS symptoms are and how to manage the conditions through finding ur baseline and sticking within it to stop having relapses to break the habit of boom and crash leading u to eventual recovery and how to stay that way there is no instant recovery Toby has had the condition himself and healed so he wants to pass his knowledge to others and we thank him. Perfusly for this ❤

He Listed and Explained what the symptoms were both for Long Covid and Chronic fatigue syndrome. He explains it far better than any doctor I've spoken to lately. You just want to nitpick. Go away fool
