Amazing to think after this race that holden would win Bathurst that year in 16, Brock wouldn't win Bathurst 1000 ever again.Also later how much speed and power Perkins would get out of his old VL. Greg Hansford and Brock would be killed in racing accidents.The series was about to reach the golden years with the GTR, VNs and BMWs which they wrecked a few years later by banning turbos, something their changing in 2017, I may start watching again.

But I didn't know Cameron Williams ever looked that young lol
Stupid idea to let the commentary team talk to the drivers at any time , as that caught a few drivers by surprise at 22 min mark the driver nearly lost control on the corner as wasnt expecting it lol

The Nissan GTR destroyed the Sierras in the 90s sadly and the fans got really pissed off about it as it is meant to be Australian Touring cars Ford vs Holden not Japanese touring cars lol

Interesting that Larry Perkins was lapped but Win Percy wasn't. The Holdens were still uncompetitive at this stage but that changed somewhat at the next round. The camera angles were good in this race we can see how quickly the field spread out in the race.

The dominating Car had a Ford badge wich was fine...but as soon as it became a Nissan badge...BAN IT!!
If the Nissan had 2wd...and 1 turbo...and was a bit lighter ..the calls to ban it may have not been so loud.....that car was designed to defy the laws of physics....basically..just the next step in touring cars.....also ..audi did the same in rallies..and with the A4 quattro in touring cars...4wd will usually have the upper hand...especially in wet weather.
all wheel drive and a 30% larger engine kinda tipped the balance a bit too far.
