  • Today, I'm reviewing the Henry 209xr Extreme Rubberized Wet Patch Roof Leak Repair. The A/C repair guy came out to check the unit on the roof because I noticed some moisture on the ceiling in the living room, not much, but I wanted to get ahead of any possible problem coming from the roof to the attic. He came out and said that everything looked good with the A/C unit itself, but I should patch any cracks from when the unit was installed because water can enter through the cracks when it rains. The wind is brutal and most likely contributed to the shifting of the A/C unit. The house has a brand new roof so that wasn't the problem so I was happy about that. The A/C guy said that this was an easy fix and recommended Henry's roof repair products so I thought that I would do some research and give it a try to fill in any cracks. In this video, I show you the product I chose, how to apply it, and my overall opinion of this product. Thanks for watching, LIKE & Subscribe and leave a comment below: Have you used this Henry's product? What did you think of this product? The home improvement website product page doesn't show you the viscosity of the product but this video showed me exactly what I needed to see. I thought I would have to deal with a runny mess that gets everywhere - but like you showed in the video its a tar like substance that (hopefully shouldn't) get everywhere while I work on the roof. Appreciate the video. Thanks!

Oh nice!!!! I love how you kept the application neat and clean. I'm preparing to jump on a DIY myself and I've seen a bunch of dudes spreading that thing all over the place, and making the roofs look ugly. My wife will definitely notice if I don't get to make the fix as neat as possible. Thank you Selena, and I hope I get to do a job as good as yours!

Did a great job on your roof and the seams for your air conditioning unit. Thanks for sharing and enjoyed how smooth the Henry's looks even with the fabric. Thanks again.

You need to apply it UNDER the higher shingle, not over the bottom edge of the shingle. Water needs to be able to drain out from the bottom of the shingle. What you've done instead is to trap any water that may seep in from the sides and it will stay there until it finds any cracks down into the roof.

Thank you for sharing your insight. Everything is doing well so far and our area has had some terrestrial rains. The product works great. All the best to you!

how long does this last? Or rather after how many years should I reapply?

My application of this product is still going strong after many rainstorms. The product dries and seals so it should last for a long time without reapplying.

    Hello,
After applying Henry 209XR Wet Patch Sealant on the roof, Can we apply Henry
887 Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Roof Coating on it?

I’m not sure. I only used this wet patch and it’s still holding up amazingly well.

Thank you so much for your review. A guy came to my house and placed that product to stop a leak in my room. Now it smells. Do you know if eventually it will stop smelling 😔?

I used this product on the outside of the house only for the roof. Hopefully, the smell went away, but it works very well.

Lady, you did a great job and saved lots of $ in the prosses. You did miss out on having a buddy up there to slap each other around with the hot mops, cold applications ruin this opportunity.

We have already had our share of severe rain storms since I put this on the roof and I don't see any leaks or dampness in the attic. I used the strongest strength one they have to make sure that it stands up to the water exposure. I hope you have success if you use it.
