    I don’t think he has ever said he doubted the chiefs. I follow him on Twitter and he’s one of the guys that kept calling for fans to remain calm, and to trust that the team would figure it out and end up in this spot. Weird title.

      Schwartz was the best RT in the league for years. Fisher was serviceable at best. Don’t care about the narratives this year, Donovan Smith is the best LT we’ve had since Branden Albert. And Taylor had a horrible season mentally but he’s still a very good player, and it showed up yesterday.

      @@shayeasysay what you want about the tackles this year, but the one thing they can say is Mahomes was not hit very often.

      @@thatstheway2429 great point. obviously taylor has had too many penalties but at the end of the day the guy can run and pass block with the best of them. and smith dealt with injuries last year and had the stinger issue this year but he’s a great player when healthy, as he has shown the last few weeks.

    Here's the wild things about the Chiefs in the playoffs this year. All the valid critisisms from form the regular season like dropped passes and dumb mistakes still showed up in the Miami game just not as bad. Then in the buffalo game other than the mistake by Hardman they were pretty much gone except for a few drops. The Ravens game and things were cleaned up even more. The Chiefs may very well be going into the Superbowl playing the best football they have played all year with an extra week to get guys healthy. I mean Pacheco played, but he played hobbled a bit, and they may get a chance to get Willie Gay back.

    On the subject of the Chiefs taking everything as an insult to motivate the team, Nick Wright pointed out the Ravens mocking “swag surfin” during their TD celebration. Lamar said before the game, they had the celebration planned. Mocking the players AND the wives and girlfriends of the Chiefs players during the game might have been a bad idea.

    The NFL might have pissed off Mahomes. The Chiefs have the best QB, TE, DT, and CB, yet none of them are on the finalist for NFL honors. The top candidate for OPOY was Tyreek Hill, and they have now beat the top two MVP candidates ( Allen and Jackson ), and look there two more MVP "finalists" on the Niners. Mitch is one of my favorites. Good guy, fellow watch collector, and foodie.

    • @Freddie7191
      @Freddie7191 Před 5 měsíci +5

      When you're up two scores and can't lose the game, there's no reason to ever take a risk against a defense that good. The moment the Chiefs needed a play at the end of the game, they got it. That's the difference between what Josh Allen and Lamar did vs. what Mahomes has done. Mahomes doesn't play hero ball when he doesn't need to.

    • @jwong60
      @jwong60 Před 5 měsíci +2

      It's not a good word to use, but in the 2nd half, Mahomes played Game Manager & let his defense do the talking. If the Lions had followed that script, they might be in the SB.

    Mahomes will once again fail to repeat and be beaten by this generation's Tom Brady who is Papa Purdy since not only am both very late round pics but have rhyming last name. Mahomes will go 2-2 in SB and will never get talked about again to be included in the GOAT convo. If papa Purds win, his name will be converted to Brock Brady and he'll win 7 more rings.
