      Thanks for the tip. Will do as soon as the boat arrives.
      As a future L42 owner (mine arriving in June 2022)
      1. What does the standard helm Bimini look like ? Do I need the the reinforced composite Bimini ? What is the original one made of ?
      2. What does the B&G navigation pack that comes with the essential equipment configuration consist of exactly ?
      Nothing in the lagoon website explains these issues.
      Thanks in advance

You might give some thought to making this a habit when you have the time (filming twice) because it may up your quality (not that it needs it) by having a little more "meat"for your edits. There were a couple lovely shots in the time lapse that you could’ve used in the final product. Thanks as always. I’ve started my Sunday happy.

    A friend of mine has one of these, though in a slightly different configuration. The owner's suite he has had modified a bit so that he can repair sails, he's also got loads of batteries, solar, water maker and generator. I was enlisted to help him sail it back from where he bought it, took us almost a week and much of that time was spent at the nav station watching the autopilot. For a CAT I prefer a Screecher in most conditions, though overall a Code 0 may be more versatile.

      Can i ask you why? i am quite the novice in all this boat business but it is way more living space for the length compare to a monohull and it looks that managing the sails would be easier for the same reason- more space. The price of that brand new beauty doesnt sound that prohibitive also.

    • @zed9zed
      @zed9zed Před 3 lety +2

      The only downside (aside from price per foot of length) I can see is they will be more expensive to park in a marina due to the size compared to a monohull. On the other hand, you have so much more livable space, more stability, and a shallower draught - so you can go into much shallower water (closer to land).

I do think that given the head room in the "galley", they could have put in a full fridge in there, floor to ceiling instead of having 3 separate ones. I would have given up a little counter space for it. Nice to see no TV. I don't rather fancy every room having a TV. When I get away, I really like to get away from it all.

    Like the differences here. Nice one! I think I've seen the same quality offered for 3x as much. Thanks, Nick! 🐳

    Technical comment: your camera work is really, really good. Not to fast (except in time lapse!), or blurry, and what’s centered in the frame is what you are talking about. Excellent.

    Great boat and tour. Very interesting. You see them all the time in the summer in the Med during charter season. Never been on one. Now I have, albeit virtually! Wonder how they sail. Many thanks!
