  • The Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye, and a 22km walk in Glen Sligachan, on a day when the weather was not the best. There’s more to Skye than the Cuillins of course, as I’m sure the one million visitors to the island this year will attest. It’s getting increasing busy at the popular tourist sites, and while many of the roads are and have been greatly improved, the far north and west of the island is still mostly single track narrow and winding roads that are not suitable for mobile homes. Hill walkers and trekkers can fortunately still find solitude in the wild spaces where most tourists don’t venture.

As your camera slowly pans across the vast, rugged expanse of the Isle of Skye's mountainous terrain. Majestic peaks towering above, shrouded in mist, their silent grandeur dwarfing all in their presence. The scene exudes a profound sense of solitude, reminding us of our fleeting existence. Amidst this ancient landscape, human pursuits seem all so trivial...the protests on our streets, the greed, the endless chase for more, yet these mountains remain resolute and unyielding, have witnessed millennia and stand unchanged by the passage of time, their unspoken message is clear, in the grand scheme of nature, our struggles and desires are but whispers in the wind. Well done on yet another highly enlightening video

Well what can I say... if my little video can give just one person a sense of the feelings to be had in the presence of this landscape, then my time was not wasted. For me the outside world always completely fades from existence. Thanks Mark for your comment, and the smile.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Of course Scotland and north America were once joined, so maybe the same process shaped both in a similar way.
