In this clip, Teddy Riley revisits a conundrum that he had at Interscope Records when Suge Knight purposefully used the music for "No Diggy" and added 2Pac to it. He explains that after he told the label's CEO Jimmy Lovine, the track was pulled, but then it was re-released as "Toss It Up" with 2Pac, Aaron Hall, K-Ci and JoJo, and Danny Boy as a diss track aimed at him and Dr. Dre. As the discussion moves along, Riley talks about the legacy of "No Diggity" and how the song remains relevant to this very day. I'll give y'all a jewel I never heard anybody else mention anywhere: Teddy Riley sneak dissed them back in a smooth way. They tried to take Teddy's beat and 2Pac was screaming on the track about how they wasn't rocking it right. Teddy's very next single with Blackstreet? "Don't Leave Me Girl," which used the same sample as "I Ain't Mad Atcha." I see you Teddy 😂 That was smooth. I can't be the only person in the world who caught that back then.

Dre was already a millionaire before beats. And he didn’t actually fall off. Dre is a major reason why Nas gained popularity when they did The Firm. Dre was also producing music for other artist as well during that period.

If you listen really closely near the end of the song, Pac says "Teddy Riley, Who". It's really tough to hear it doe with the noise of singers and backing track, you will need razor sharp hearing to catch it.

Demetrius Shipp he's the dad of the dude that played Tupac in the Tupac movie ...the real backstory to the song is Demetrius use to work as a producer under Teddy Riley ..he came up with the sample for No Diggity ..but when he left Teddy's camp he went to work with death row and he heard his sample that he had came up with "no diggity" and he told suge teddy took his sample... and suge and pac was like fuck that we're going to do a song with that sample and drop it on the same day they drop No Diggity ...so that's how that toss it up and no diggity came about ..Demetrius ship had came up with that sample when he was in Virginia Beach producing with Teddy and Teddy so-called stole the sample from him so that's the real backstory behind those two records

I never did really like No Diggity the song it seemed a little bit to slow although I've always been off into people like James Brown and Barry White and Al Green and of course Aretha Franklin and the Temptations those types of songs and then after a while I said to myself give the song a chance and just really listen to it and then I did and then I actually started to like the song.
You know what? Maybe I'm crazy but it would have been a possibility if Pac was on the original version. it may have been even bigger; however, the song is still a classic and favorite of mine
