Slash’s solo here really wasn’t bad, he was just out of tune. Myles vocals really shined here, this was my favorite era of Myles vocals, just consistently stellar.

He fell out of tune somewhere in between which isn't something he can control- what is he gonna do, stop playing *lead guitar* in the middle of a show in front of *ozzy fucking osbourne?* and I'm sure it didn't help matters that Slash's aggressive playing style happened to contribute given the terrible timing of the detuning, which was right before the solo. I'm wondering if it has something to do with his tech because typically that doesn't happen.

If you didn’t like slash’s solo it’s probably because as he said many times, he doesn’t like to copy great solos verbatim since they are perfect as they are. So he takes the DNA of the solo and builds on that. You will never hear him play another guitarists great solo note for note. It’s not that he can’t do it, it’s out of respect.
