LarsUlrich26 Ulrich Ozzy was good at coming up with melodies, but a regular lyricist he is not. He has written a few songs with Black Sabbath, and they’re actually pretty good, but the majority of his solo lyrics were written by Bob Daisley when he was in the band, and others when he wasn’t, like Jake E Lee. Ozzy would often come up with one line, for example Suicide Solution. He came up with “Wine is fine but whiskey’s quicker” and then Bob Daisley wrote the rest of the lyrics around that.

Bet those pyrotechnics heat ruined the tuning, used to happen a lot, especially when you are coming on quickly with an unprepared guitar doing one song. Slash is overrated though. Hes the anti Morello. Possibly also down to the fact gibson quality control is now garbage and a joke for guitars that cost thousands

@@FawXnSawX kinda seemed like the show had been going on a while by the time crazy Train got going? It's possible the guitar just went out of tune over the course of the night as that tends to happen with any instrument so not necessarily the Tech's fault.

Considering the fact that the vocalist on rhythm guitar also sang in a very different way, the conclusion is that Slash also did a solo in the same vein. But he did it with enough confidence

To me Slash is very good at making melodic solos and not shredding like others. Personally I think melodic soloing is both more difficult and just flat out better because you can sing along to it and you can make the solo distinct. Then you have people like Randy Rhoades or Buckethead who do both at the same time.
The solo was ok, the guitar was out of tune. And really, who besides RR himself could possibly 're tune' during an RR solo??

Strings going out of tune, just in time for the solo- bad luck! You can hear it in the rhythm after the solo as well. I'd guess either the G and/or B went out as well, or he was just put off by a string being out and couldn't work out which one it was. Btw did Ozzy actually say "He f'd up?" can't work it out XD

Yeah that's exactly what I thought. They were disappointed with the vocals and it probably took a few seconds of confusion/disbelief prior to reacting which just happened to be during the solo.

@@Cestariarts So did Brad Gillis, Jake E. Lee, and Gus G, but you know what they all did that made the solo work? They played it in the vein of Rhoads, moreso Lee and Gus G than Gillis and Gillis has gone on to say that when he filled in after Rhoads' death, he was criticized by fans because he didn't play the way Rhoads did though he's a heck of a guitarist too. Notice I didn't mention Bernie Torme. Great blues-oriented guitarist and he filled in before Gillis, but he had a completely different style that didn't match.
Point is, everyone has expectations. When you hear anyone play Crazy Train, who's the guitarist you associate it with? Randy Rhoads. That's not to say Rhoads is the only one who can play the solo and it doesn't mean you can't add your own style either, but if you venture too far off, you have to be able to back it up with the performance and Slash failed to do that in front of that crowd with Ozzy in attendance.
Btw, I know this wasn't up to par for Slash's standards either. He's great and if given another chance, would probably be able to pull it off :)

Slash, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani they all do what they do in some feeble attempt to be able to produce some crude imitation of the master, Lil Wayne.

Just to clarify. Mr man bun is part of a band called Buffy Clyro. They are a scottish band. Knowin for theyr weird time signatures and sounds from Simon(mr man bun) u have no idea how famous they are in Europe. They are a lot more knowin than even guns and roses. They headlined in front of bands like nine inch nails. Foo Fighters. Greenday. Three days grace and a day to remember. Think twice before u make fun aw sum1 for having man bun
