  • Flying my Wolf WII "Boredom Fighter" biplane.
    Built complete from scratch using plans. Construction time 5 years, 2400 hours. All sitka spruce covered with dacron fabric. First flight was September 1991. Powered by Continental A-65. Empty weight 497 lbs. Flown for 14 years before being sold.
    A great flying little airplane.

    Ha, the pilot looks more like a WWI fighter pilot than in the old photos. Great plane.

    yeah, anything over 254 lbs dry needs a license in the states.
    A p39 would look cool, but the mid engine mount would be a pain for no really good reason (it's not going to have the cannon, obviously)). You could build one with the engine in the front, instead, though, you'd just need a BRS on it.

    Whatever happened to this plane? Was deregistered back when.

      In 2005 the plane got sold by the builder and it went to Ontario, Canada. It got sold again in 2009 and moved further East in Ontario, Canada. It's for sale again now in 2021.

      No License required just an FAA Certificate in the States
