It's how it works most years. The jurys are usually made out of musicians, composers, choreographers etc, professionals who understand the mechanics of what they're looking at, as there is in fact some objectivity in music. Eurovision at the end of the day is about uniting for music, and representing your country with pride but also having fun and those chosen by the public are about that.
Sometimes I'm mad at jury for being too harsh at genuinely well-made entertaining songs which create a good show, sometimes I'm mad at public for not appreciating something that isn't explosive and loud
Epic Sax guy was part of the band Sunstroke project from Moldova. Snd they came 22nd. (4th last). The public didn't care about the song back then. Epic sax guy became a legend after Eurovision, when someone made a video out of his amazing solo, that spread all over internet.
The first one was good, but when I saw the jury giving her so much praise I genuinely didn’t know why. And then less than 100 votes from the audience 🫠
That’s why I hate public vote. They often vote for the least talented, crazy fucking shit ever. But I do think it’s very important for Eurovision to remain televotes(because it’s part of Eurovision). But Jury vote definitely needs to return in the semi’s
I'll never understand why anyone would like to give any say to 5 music producers who hate fun. They are the same people that make sure only 10 songs play in the radio and everything is as watered down and bland as possible. Imagine if every song in ESC was similar lowest common denominator pop sweden sends, it'd be a snoozefest from start to end. Juries need to be removed, everything's gotten worse when they added them back in.
In the end winner is what Jury wants cuz they just collectively give points to one and we all separate cuz that’s how it is known it’s organic, idk what jury is on about for the last few years but their targeted influence on one performer is ruining the fun for audience. Soon they will be able to sit alone, fund it and pick a winner in a small room.
I really like that the jury is there to actually keep it as a music competition. With only public votes the entire ESC could fall apart in a year. The public votes keep the joy while the jury maintains structure.
I don’t really think they do. They give the most points to basic pop that we all hear on the radio, it’s just plain. It’s like they don’t care about the art of music, just feels like they don’t want individualism, everything sounds the same.
@@imscaredofsleeping have you ever taken part in their reasoning? It is interesting to listen to what they take into consideration. The things said about Chanel (Spain) in 2022 were not at all what I expected.

The Moldovan saxophone was fire and it gave us one of the greatest memes ever
Tbh the saxophone tune became a classic
Sometimes I'm mad at jury for being too harsh at genuinely well-made entertaining songs which create a good show, sometimes I'm mad at public for not appreciating something that isn't explosive and loud
This is basically a competition to see how far is too far
I love juries ❤️🔥
I'm confused because this is an uneven number of the performances so idk which one the audience love vs which one jury loves 😂
it does give us some of the best meme songs
Epic Sax guy was part of the band Sunstroke project from Moldova. Snd they came 22nd. (4th last).
The public didn't care about the song back then.
Epic sax guy became a legend after Eurovision, when someone made a video out of his amazing solo, that spread all over internet.
Jury : epic song with a powerful voice and smoke in the background
Public : kinky dude preferably running around the stage chanting something
Gotta love 🇫🇮 (have to say even though I'm Finnish) 🤍💙
To be honest, you dodged a bullet by not hosting this year's shameful edition tainted with bI0od.
Okay but the Saxophone Dude and Rise like a Phoenix by Conchita are absolutely fire ❤️🔥
The fact that 2 of these won and 3 of em got second and 1 got 22nd
Norway has the best Songs! This Year its the best again for me, they are literaly the Goåt😅
I have jury taste
That song Arcade makes so much sense being the winner of one of the seasons. Of course the judges loved a boring performance.
Sunstroke project and Lordi was awesome, and I think all of us should think the same
We usually want something we can remember.
The first one was good, but when I saw the jury giving her so much praise I genuinely didn’t know why. And then less than 100 votes from the audience 🫠
Party for everybody dance 🪩
Come on dance 🎉
Public knows what a party is all about.
Public knows better
That’s why I hate public vote. They often vote for the least talented, crazy fucking shit ever. But I do think it’s very important for Eurovision to remain televotes(because it’s part of Eurovision). But Jury vote definitely needs to return in the semi’s
Completely agree. Without the jury ESC would be a clown show.
_Thomas has never seen such Bullshit before_
i disagree, eurovision is all about the fun and the madness and what’s entertaining to watch
I definitely agree
Hey hey saxophone man don't belong there they were epic!!!❤
But the saxophone song is fire tho
"Talent is no longer needed political narrative and gender bullshit is much more important", thats what some people would say.😂
Having fun is more important.
You sir are a party pooper.
Pretty sure Conchita also got the highest points from the jury. Also in 2017 Salvador won both the jury and televote with a ballad. Jury normally votes for songs with best vocals, no surprise there.
