Malta also came death last in 2023 with a pretty decent song and a good staging. Not fair to them. About the Netherlands the fact that EBU disqulilified Joost, while there was still a investigation going on is a discusting crime. Disqualification is something that you can do as soon as it is clear what happened and a JUDGE has decided that he is guilty. However the EBU decided that it is okay to act like the police, the judge and the executionar. SHAME on them. Fuck the EBU.
I'm sorry to disagree here, I did not enjoy Malta's performance as much. For me there was too much emphasis on the dance breaks and the performance, song kinda got me feeling meh. Gave it a 6.5/10 and was in my shortlist of expected qualifiers, but also wasnt upset it wasnt through
Biggest crimes of ESC 2024 in my opinion: 1. Ulveham in last place 2. The televoting points for Israel 3. Malta in 37th place 4. Baby Lasagna did not give Croatia the first victory 5. Germany, Luxembourg and Latvia were very high.
My opinion to your comment 1. Seriously thought it would make at least top 15 if thinking realistically. Top 10 sounds too hopeful and bottom 5 is too harsh (And it’s worse than that) 2. EVIL! I seriously thought they only gained those votes because people felt “sympathy” for them 3. Didn’t like Malta’s song but even I thought it would’ve qualified 4. Baby Lasagna was one of my ideal winners but even I’m happy Nemo won, who was also part of my ideal winners (Just be glad that Israel didn’t take the cake) 5. They’re not bad songs but cut them some slick. Germany made it out of the bottom 5, Luxembourg made its return after a long hiatus and got a descent result, and Latvia qualified after 8 years. However, I thought Slovenia and Georgia would be higher
For me the reason that Malta didn't make it (didn't like Malta but I'm saying an opinion only) was because there were many uptempo songs. Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Spain. That for a moment for me all songs started to sounds equal. But I liked the performance and I got surprised that it didn't make it
Didn’t like Malta too but I did liked the performance and I do get why MOST qualified over Malta. Austria had an amazing performance with the choreography and crowd hype. Italy was always been a fan favorite from the start (Even though Netherlands was more viewed, which is more deserved too). The overhype of Greece bringing a unique entry. Spain had the crowd chanting “ZORRA!” in excitement. So I seriously don’t know why Cyprus was able to qualify over Malta when both songs were generic but one had the better performance
1. Look, the song is just nothing special. We had Cyprus, we had Austria, we had... 5 others I'm sure, I just can't remember because of the sheer quantity of solo girl dance bops. She just didn't stand out among them. 2. Austria did NOT do poorly because of that stupid freeze thing, it just didn't stand out (again, just as the last point, surprise) and had a suboptimal spot (surprisingly, because of the changes I think last wasn't optimal). Also, the song wasn't that strong to begin with. And btw, I'm Austrian, so I'm certainly not biased against Austria. The third point is valid. Good night.
Malta is the most underrated country in Eurovision! If countries like Italy, France, and literally almost every other country would have brought their songs to the Eurovision they’d had a streak of wins!!!
Yeah the fans deserved information. They didn't even explained why the 5th song was gone during the final. With the hosts not even saying 26 contestants multiple times. All leading to more speculation wich helped no one
We have diaspora and neighbours, but disqualified multiple times and had the last places too. So for me the reason is that the song was good, but boring. For me personally it was outdated, the s*xualization of woman's body is oudated, that's it.
For me it was toxic and rigged both by the odds/bets and the actual event itself , all artist were great and nobody stood out from greatness (malta should have qualified , and songs like georgia , greece , norway, armenia, serbia should have gotten more votes from jurrys )
@@itanalang Morrocanoil has nothing to do with Israel participating, Israel never missed a eurovision since 1973(except one time in 1997) and they will continue to participate because they have every right to

However the EBU decided that it is okay to act like the police, the judge and the executionar. SHAME on them. Fuck the EBU.
Still mad that Australia didn't qualify tbh, that didgeridoo was everything
I'm sorry to disagree here, I did not enjoy Malta's performance as much. For me there was too much emphasis on the dance breaks and the performance, song kinda got me feeling meh. Gave it a 6.5/10 and was in my shortlist of expected qualifiers, but also wasnt upset it wasnt through
Biggest crimes of ESC 2024 in my opinion:
1. Ulveham in last place
2. The televoting points for Israel
3. Malta in 37th place
4. Baby Lasagna did not give Croatia the first victory
5. Germany, Luxembourg and Latvia were very high.
My opinion to your comment
1. Seriously thought it would make at least top 15 if thinking realistically. Top 10 sounds too hopeful and bottom 5 is too harsh (And it’s worse than that)
2. EVIL! I seriously thought they only gained those votes because people felt “sympathy” for them
3. Didn’t like Malta’s song but even I thought it would’ve qualified
4. Baby Lasagna was one of my ideal winners but even I’m happy Nemo won, who was also part of my ideal winners (Just be glad that Israel didn’t take the cake)
Good night.
The disqualification sounds like a sibling discussion
Malta is the most underrated country in Eurovision! If countries like Italy, France, and literally almost every other country would have brought their songs to the Eurovision they’d had a streak of wins!!!
10/10 gap in her 🦷 🦷
Yeah the fans deserved information.
Where is Croatia
For me it was toxic and rigged both by the odds/bets and the actual event itself , all artist were great and nobody stood out from greatness (malta should have qualified , and songs like georgia , greece , norway, armenia, serbia should have gotten more votes from jurrys )
Aiko NQ was a painful moment for me also
Same here
Malta was one of my favorites. Definitely the best female pop dance song (I’m not including Italy and Greece in this group). I loved Norway too.
Biggest crime is EBU decision to let Israel compete. If Russia can't compete for same reasons Israel shouldn't also. But sponsors..... BUT MONEY ....
If ukraine was allowed to compete Israel should too. Don't forget Israel didn't start the war
Yeah you say that but all I see is Morrocanoil, Israeli owned company as main sponsor of Eurovision. As we say "Para vrti gde burgija neće"
@@itanalang Morrocanoil has nothing to do with Israel participating, Israel never missed a eurovision since 1973(except one time in 1997) and they will continue to participate because they have every right to
@@benlechner6352 but they are sponsors and it has all to do with that.
@@itanalang and Russia didn’t have any sponsors? give me a break! You conspiracy theorists are despicable.
Malta was fire!
I was watching Eurovision on SVT (Swedish broadcast) and when it was time for UK to get votes they got 0 and the broadcaster just said “Oj..”
Norway’s placement.
i live in Australia and that's an island surrounded by water. i still would've voted for Malta if i could vote in semi-final 2.
Represanting Austria Kaleen my queen is my real winner in my heart to Eurovision this year 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹🏆🏆🏆🔝🔝🔝👑👑👑😍😍😍
The problem with the singers of Malta and Austria? Feminine and very beautiful women
Well I don't know hoe much the Austria froze impacted but in semifinal where everything was good, they still narrowly qualified and was 9th.
That should ditch the big 5 because it is not fair on smaller countries like Malta and San Marino who can’t qualify because of other countries already qualifying
Some videos of the final on youtube and eurovision's website aren't from the final, but actually they are from the semifinal. I heard that austria is one of the countries affected, but i myself am portuguese and ik that ours is one of those cases, because iolanda was wearing pro- palestine nails and shouted "peace will go on" at the end. It is our right to expresss ourselves about worldwide topics and to have our own ideologies!
Maybe we should all be like finland and have "no rules" 😂 (with some exceptions obviously)
What’s worse about Portugal is that while they did upload the final version on CZcams, they did so late and only because rtp complained.
I loved the song btw, i was so surprised it did poorly in the televote, but I guess that’s what happens when so many votes are stolen for votes on politics instead of the actual songs. If Israel had been disqualified i bet it would have gotten more
Justice for Joost
Malta is always underrated country when it comes to Eurovision
Hey let me help out sins I am Dutch I have access to thin information already so basically he punched the Camara of a Swedish woman he filmed him against his will
What happened to Norway was biggest crime!
Finaly someone is fighting for Malta thank you❤
I'm the only one here who still sad because Denmark didn't qualify? Saba was soooo good and I listen her song every day❤ kisses from Italy 🇮🇹 😘 ❤
No, its because the song sucks and her singing wasnt even close to clean
Her singing was objectively impeccable for someone doing a vigorous dance act like that. Get a hearing aid.
And go get your eyes checked
Malta was a Chanel copy so understandable that it came last.
Switzeröand winning was a crime in my opinion!
Because you can't appreciate art, that doesn't mean others can't.
Finally someone said it 🤣🤣🤣 and il say it with no reservations that he didn't win based on performance and song alone 🤷🏽♀️ the fact that the public chose croatia as thier winner says enough
@@eliassideris2037Switzerland would be 5th place if jury didn't exist.
@@Sushi_Baka333 Incredibly rare jury w.

I thought the freez was just my tv quality
Boost my man is the GOAT. It’s gonna be like Rammstein and Kanye West. People are still gonna love his music 🎉🎉
Honestly I didn`t really understand why Austria did so bad, a lot of people said to me that it was boring, but it was actually one of the best songs.
also the televoting for Norway and the UK, not deserved at all, especially Norway
The biggest crime was that switzerland win instead of the actualy good performance by croatia
Objectively, no she didn’t deserve to qualify. Maybe if she had been in SF1, she would have qualified.
Belguim not qualifying is a crime
No, boring song...
Nope it was very underwhelming even though it stated as fave
sarah deserved to be higher!!! she gave us an amazing show and i can’t believe she got treated that way. televoters really do not like malta
Malta 0/10 song. Look performance and dancing is amazing the problem it barely had a song
at least she had vocals. better than austria’s dance song 😮
You could say that about many songs that made it... It's useless trying to gaslight Malta into thinking they're never good enough. We know we are nullity in Europe's eyes and we might as well quit as nothing, nothing will give us the points we deserve.
@@ds5379You got the points you deserved. Cope harder.
@@kuroganekaze or just leave. This is what I want. That we leave (and not year after year be the first to confirm participation).
This year's contest was largely distasteful anyway, and winning it is no beacon of achievement if that's what it's become.
@@ds5379 sure bud, that's why you copypasted the same comment on multiple replies. Send a proper song next year maybe. Y'all were the weakest of Semi 2.
Olly alexander performance was Swabaged and now his carrier is over.
Also shoudlve had san marino instead of Nethlands
Wait.. But how did United Kingdom not place last? Norway and United Kingdom NEED to switch places on the leaderboard.
As I wrote in another comment, I cannot even remember the Maltese song. It had nothing that resonated in me.
I can’t believe Malta didn’t qualify Europe I’m mad really mad and last it’s bad enough that she didn’t qualify but last
Malta was so good!!! I was so bummed.
Finally someone spoke the truth about Malta! We rarely are given the credit we deserve! So happy to see someone who advocates the Maltese talent! 🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹
The guy is under police investigation. This what happened.
