The sound of that rain on the tent and tarp is a balm to my soul
Great video, I just wish you'd make them a little longer. This channel is so tranquil when it comes to relaxation in preparation for sleep with the rain on the tent/tarp and foliage. Personally I like to watch 3 plus hour rain videos or crackling fires. This channel would be my go to for relaxing if they were just a little longer. Either way love this channel and TOGR 👍
My favorite tent of all time.
My husband bought 2 when our boys were young and they were always his favorites. He is now in heaven and I promise neither of my boys would give up those tents. 35 years later and holding up well.

The optional vestibule really adds to versatility -- but it is an extra pound or so. My brother and i camped together so split 2 ways we could easily backpack it.

The best tarp/tent set up you've done(not testing here) and still one of the best tents out there. I remember this trek, think I said something about where the campfire was🤨yeah well.. One of the better "camps", thanks for the rework. See ya soon.

I'm puzzled about why you always drink instant coffee. There are so many DELICIOUS real coffees out there. You don't have to drink mud, Luke. Try some of the great real coffees. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I drink real decaffeinated coffee and I always make sure it's made via Swiss water process. Absolutely blows me away from the very first sip and it's good to the last drop.
Cant get those pocket size meals readily here,….sure like the coffee tubes….you seem to use several different tubes at once for coffee??

Not sure if this is a true story. But, mrballen told a story about kids camping in the NC forest. They said they heard footsteps in the woods like you did when you were hiking. The kids said something ran to their tarp tent and pulled it off as they slept. When they looked around. They saw two red eyes and heard growling. Maybe a bigfoot was following you.
From the intro I knew I would love this video. Beautiful forest so green but when the fog got in really spooky too much horror movies lol. Considering all the coffee/caffeine you drink, I'm thinking you''ll soon need a kidney transplant.
Showing that banner saying the "description" contains a list of all gear used - must surely be reducing a lot of otherwise unnecessary replies.
Had to check to see which brand/size tarp you used - "OneTigris Bulwark Tarp" (10'x13"). Doesn't have tie out points along the ridgeline or around the tarp per miter, except at the corners like AquaQuest tarps.
Everyone, without exception, gives a "thumbs up" when consuming a Real Turmat Freeze Dried meal.

With that said, i can only watch you head to woods, 😢set up a tent, a tarp, cook, eat, sleep, make a fire so many times in a row before it becomes routine. Time to mix it up some.
