Luke. I bought those pots and pans a week ago. I have watched you use them over and over with so many different meals, and you have never complained once. I love the design of that tent...the separate space to hangout and cook in with the clear plastic door is perfect to watch outside during inclement weather! Definitely gives off a comfortable feeling!
Yup but I want a floor
When I camped, my tent had a water proofed floor. I took a sleeping bag. I took food. I cooked using camp fire. I had a cooking grid and that was it.
I lived in Banner Elk over 30 years ago. I worked in the Tynecastle shopping center and one day a huge thunderstorm just came out of no where! A couple of hours later hikers came down from Grandfather Mountain and said their family had been caught in the storm and one was struck by lightning ( and was thrown over a ledge) Sadly after search teams and helicopters found the man it was not a good end. Beautiful area to be in…I loved it! At least I am still in WNC ❤
Oh and also remember the wind is super fierce up there!
Hi there: We roasted coffee in Erwin and had an acct. with a place in Tynecastle (and Banner Elk)- about 25yrs ago. Beautiful and dangerous areas prone to wind and water excesses.

That tent is awesome it's like 2 in 1 and spacious and don't have to worry about your gears getting wet outside it's all under the tent your own hangout room. There's 3 different cover entrance which is awesome and a divider in between. But did I see right? The tent was leaking in some spots. That was a bummer. I don't know what it is, maybe sleeping in foxholes in the Army, but I was never a fan of flooorless tents...Plus I like footprints and floor savers...Oh well! 😮😅
I Agree with you! I WONT go camping in a floorless tent, unless I have a heavy duty tarp I can use to create a secure floor. I'm also a strong advocate of an over tarp for at least over the front half of the tent. I've never liked getting drenched every time I have to enter or exit the tent proper! Rain seems to follow me! Oh, I really like the small heater you used, Luke!

I used to be a Traeger+ user but switched to Asmoke and it really changed the way I do my camping! The ASMOKE Essential is portable which is perfect for outings. Good morning from Washington State on the eastern side. That tent was cool, but it looked like it was leaking a little and had some condensation inside. Sure stood up to those gusty winds! Yesterday we had gusty winds that I drove getting home from a family reunion. Thought the car was going to blow off the highway a few times!

I love my Alaskan Tent&Tarp Arctic Oven Pipeline...Could be -50°F outside and with a footprint and floorsaver and a -20°F sleeping bag, you may not even need the stove!

I am just wondering where all the wind noise is coming from in the morning as your tent isn't moving and neither are the trees, not even the tops of the tall tree's?
It looked miserable outside but you were warm in that tent with the heater. I liked the clear door but it looked like you got a lot of condensation but I guess you'll have that with the difference in temperature.

The only thing better than that vestibule is if the whole thing was that plastic/vinyl clear door material. Then you could lean back and watch the show instead of a small bit of it through the door.

Luke, I’m curious as to why you do this. It’s my gut feeling, you had prior experience in camping before you started posting these awesome videos. I love seeing your take on products and insight.
I didn’t see all the reasons for so many nice comments, but if you would be happy in this situation, then have fun. No floor is a deal breaker for me, especially in a wet rainy windy night. Wet mud is the worst, and creatures will visit you. Tent didn’t look that robust and if it has condensation it would be disposed of for me. The heater is nice but such a small fuel bottle will run out very quickly. The little lighter was cool. Overall, the situation did not impress.
The sleeping area is enclosed with a groundsheet, one could be added to the other part. Those are 50mph winds so to me the tent looked very stable, condensation was in the single skin part so no matter what there will be visible condensation every tent gets condensation it’s just masked by the inner. I have used fishing tents like this all year round and found them great but in rain would have a groundsheet in the living area.
