In this podcast Jake Edwards and Jake Atkinson, both former apprentices of mine, meet up once more. Jake Atkinson tells his version of events of that famous CrankWorks boycott and how he handled the situation as the seasons rookie rider. They compare notes on how they both prepare for and approach thier racing and performing. It is an incredibly inspirational podcast, and the future of Slopestyle MTB and Domestic Road Racing looks incredibly bright.

I remember when these two lads were put on as apprentices. Boy what a progression, given the opportunities and having really good mentors to learn from has produced GOLD. Well done Mapdec you should feel proud 👍👍

Very good talk with a champion state of mind from both Jake. Thank you! Young men of today, how can I say, you have a talent for life. You give, life gives you back. That's great spirit!

Is there a reason all British people say “event” instead of “race”? Surely “race” is a better term for it

Yeah. Because we are not allowed to race on public roads and bridleways so most mass participation are required to be ‘non competitive’. We have very little actual racing compared to non competitive sportives, etc.
