Hi thanks for all your content, I am looking for an advice but let me explain and give context. I am from African country, I did a bachelor on electronics and then a bachelor on computer science. I always was an average student, I am good but never took my studies seriously and I just always managed to get average scores. Then, I went to Europe to purse my study and leave my country as I know that there is nothing there and I will never get a good job and I always felt that I am not at the right place (I am female). When i arrive to Europe (France, I lost my mother and It was really hard for me and I have lost 3 years and then I wen well and started again my studies, I got average score and managed to get scholarship for my PhD. I taught that is now, a good chance for me to really take my life seriously. But, again, lost my father and I spend 3 horrible years during my phd. I got graduated but again with average scores and did not published good research papers (just enough to graduate). When I graduated, I got a good job as research scientist in a good company and started working but I was always struggling with imposter syndrome as I always have been an average student and I am not at all good. But, I started working hard but life hit me again and then lost my brother and now I am alone. The last 12 years of my life were really hard and lost all motivations. Now, I am 36 and I want to change my life. I spend the last year figure out what I really enjoy and found it! I want to be successful business women! I always liked building, managing projects, build a strategy ... Before taking a jump and start a business or startup, I want to get a business degree in a good school, and then an MBA as it will give me a good network and also learn all what I need. But, I don't have a good degree and GPA. So, I am wondering what could be a good path to get into a good school like Harvard (which is a dream). Thanks for your help

As a high schooler, what tips can you give to someone aspiring to be an investment banker or consultant?

most important thing would be to go to the best undergrad you can because the best ones feed into the best banks / consulting firms. Then afterwards i found joining a business org on campus with good track record of sending students to those firms to be very helpful. alumni help you, you can recruit with your friends, and older members also help you
