    35 minutes to down-town Los Angeles? Yes, between about midnight and 4-00 AM. I've lived in Westlake Village for 42 years and during commuting hours it can take an hour to drive
    the length of the San Fernando Valley to the 101-405 interchange---which gets you half-way. If your daily commute involves Westlake Village to mid-LA or Westwood you can spend
    a total of 3 hours a day in traffic. Try your commute in the rush hours before you commit. It has got far worse over the past 15 years compared to 1980-ish.
