Kids nowadays are like "but that's rock/metal" dont realize the metal/rap genres have ALWAYS been homies since old out of touch politicians ALMOST convinced society those genres were taboo. So, naturally those two genres vibed with eachother. I mean look at Corey Taylor and Slipknot. Dude is a hige rap enthusiast and skilled lyricist himself.
Savage Wraith Pete Wentz from FOB has talked about enjoying lots of rap, and metal music. Rappers look up to people who create rock music too, and enjoy it, as you mentioned, he picked wttbp at emo night. To add on, isn’t ska similar to rap? They have to be related, and with all of that being said, I wish people weren’t so hateful of genres, rap fans dissing the music of rock and the people who like it, and vice versa for rock fans since the two genres are so closely related. The kid you just dissed for liking [insert band] was one of your favorite rappers’ bands growing up.

Patrick used to play drums in a grindcore band (Grinding Process), and Pete played in multiple hxc bands (he even featured on "Jock Powerviolence" by Weekend Nachos, a now defunct hxc/grindcore band). Posty has always had ties to metal/hxc as well. He tried out as a guitarist for Crown The Empire, and there's a video of him and Jared Dines rocking out to Megadeth and Sworn In. As far as ska being related to rap, I wouldn't go that far lol, but lots of rappers today take a lot of influence from metal and hxc, from the mosh pits to their appearance to the grimey/heavy music they make. And yes, people should stop being so biased towards others for their tastes. Music is music, music influences musicians to make more music, and of course, all music is subjective.
