The absolute best days of poker with flamboyant personalities, great table banter and all around sportsmanship.

Forgeting about helmuth?
It felt like it when we were going through it. Like our poker history was slim pickings and we were getting a poker show from every network. Now is fun but everyone seems like an upstart.
@@tommyhairyeah7726Hellmuth is the last person we wanna watch play poker😂
@@tommyhairyeah7726he’s an exception 🤣
Imagine laying down a 92 because someone called your hand and then you would have hit two pair on the flop. Gutted.
And then the board pairs the other card and you have a pair no kicker
Pure misery
Why would anyone imagine that?
@@ryanturner3432Cuz peeps have life and you don't 😊
No need to imagine
Sam Farha was my absolute favorite to watch. I wish I could see him more on the newer videos. I haven't seen him in years.
He's had some problems, getting in fights and thrown out of casinos, has lost his reputation and his sense of humour.
@@cookslooking10 that's too bad. He was always entertaining.
@@cookslooking10Did he lose all his money too? Or managed to keep some of it?
@@cookslooking10that's the problem with gambling. It eventually brings out the worse in you. Best to play for fun
He still frequents in poker casinos in Houston where he’s based. He also entered a few tournaments along with the main event in the last few years
Negreanu is one in a million.
The best is when DNegs calls a hand then totally bets the wrong way if they have that hand. "You have the nut flush? I'm all in"
Remember seeing him call a guy having kings or aces, betting into him and making him fold when Daniel had the worse hand.
@@denisfolcik1373 DNegs played in an era where a lot of players sucked. The most interesting hands are where he tells a player what they have "you have a full house" then bets at them like he has something better.
But if you were a smart player and realize DNegs is a smart player, why would he tell you he can beat your full house? Unless he can't. Would you tell your opponent that you have the nuts when you had it? Or would you like them to actually call/raise?
He basically played Jedi mind tricks on dumb players.
@@YTSparty none of these guys are dumb players, you just have the benefit of living x number of years later, with so much more knowledge, strategy and experience available to all players. It's just evolution
Daniel is either a psychic or an alien with telepathy.
Possible both
Why? He didn't have 92 of spades. He just named a hand he played once before. Even a blind squirrel binds a nut once in a while.
@@paulviggiano529692 of spades was 3/4 of his hand
And that’s an EXTREMELY random thing to just say
And Daniel has done this a lot but calling someone and telling them there holding 92 while there holding 92 is just INSANE
@@paulviggiano5296 So that's why Sammy reacted that way? Go away.
@@OmegaMouseHe's right though. They play hours and hours and hours, people guess hands all the time, and he only half jokingly said he had 9/2 from earlier. They just always choose to air people guessing right.

There is a reason why Daniel mentions this hand. I think it's because Sam Farah beat Daniel on a hand in the WSOP. Daniel flopped a nut straight, and Sam managed to beat him with the 9-2 spade flush
But of course, cannot find this hand in CZcams anymore
I remember that hand, some other guy came along with AJ. I think it was 2005 WSOP.
Thanks for the info. So many videos now you can never find certain hands etc.
What did Daniel have on this hand after all?
@@rosstafarian24 I can't remember exactly but he flopped a straight. Something like 67 and the flop is 589. River paired the board (5 I think) and put a 3rd spade up so Ndegs correctly decided Sammy probably got there.
@@rosstafarian24 found it, hand starts just after 58 mins and the video is called World Series of Poker Main Event 2005 Day 1 with Daniel Negreanu and Phil Helmuth.
@@d4ve19thank you i did find and watch that one. But I meant what did Daniel have on this hand in the video above, since it cuts off. I found videos that matched that day, etc but never saw this hand, high stakes poker season 1 ep 4-5 I think but yeah I don't see the hand
Imagine basically telling everyone you have 9 2 when the hand isn't over.
He already went out ?
@@neverstoppulling5169never tell what you have if everyone is still in play ever!
@neverstoppulling5169 It still affects everyone else's play. They know, of course that he didn't have the 9 of spades, but they realized now that he had some kind of 9.
Daniel is such a sicko. This is the thing, I’ve watched pretty much every American televised poker show and when Daniel calls out an exact hand he is nearly almost right. He doesn’t say it often, but it when he does he does. Just incredible.
He's the spiderman of poker
It's not as hard as you'd think to get someone's whole cards by the time the river hits especially. But this 92 call pre flop is probably cause they were joking about 92 earlier
@@paulg6274 you must be literally printing money in poker then. Need a protege? I’d love to learn how easy it is to know their exact two cards by the river

Daniel doesn’t just read cards. He reads players.
I play any two cards, I've raised pre with 7/2 and played them like aces. It's amazing how many hands you win without showing.
I do it to mix things up. I show it if I win this hand so that people think I'm a loose player.

Sammy was so funny he was like tony g on crack
I almost took out jennifer Harmon 2019 monster stack. Was crazy for me
How often he's correct is insane
This is common in poker. Some people win a very lucky hand with some garbage cards and then they decide to play those same cards the entire night and ridiculously they keep winning...it then becomes a joke and people keeps calling those cards out.
I'm surprised that Farha didn't light up that cigarette after getting burned by Negreanu.
Not downplaying Negreanu’s read, he’s the best there is. Just saying that when players continue learning and are around cards as much as pros are, they’ll start to develop reading abilities that’ll shock tables.
Why are they giving information out over yhee table?
Farha was always my favorite one to watch
Smoking at the table, remember this?
Yeah he calls out hands 100 times and gets two of them right and he's some genius😂
Because others call out hands 100 times and gets none right

Well then go sit at a table with him and see how unnerving it is when he reads your cards. You’d be going home shirtless
@@michaelpflug394 If I'm his opponent, this would mess me up more than if he were to call my hand correctly and fold. Cuz then I'm just thinking, if he knew my hand and he still called with a worse hand, is he saying that he can beat me regardless?
He might call definitely has 9 2 suited
😮😮😮. Daniel is... Wow just wow. On 5 best of all time for me eazy
He needs a king to make 21!!
I enjoyed the first few seasons of High Stakes Poker and then something changed, and I don't know what it was...
Nothing better then being able to do that to a player, took me years to understand how the brain works and study DNegs strategies etc!
Golden age of poker and golden way of dressing
What did Daniel end up having on that hand though? Anyone?
My best read on a table was 85 of diamonds.
I manage to read that and I called with A high.
You can imagine how was the table after this read I was the boss of the table.
Let me guess, daniel calls him down light lol
I'm gonna die if it hit
Whatever happened to Sammy Farha??
they basically just let everyone know what cards were being folded...
That’s why you must never wear a jacket when sitting or reach back and pull it down.

Yep but Daniel kind of the last of the people that used to make wsop so fun to watch guys like Daniel and Sammy talking thru the whole hand having fun I love it. I understand your playing for big money so I understand not saying anything. But as a spectator these new add players a bore to watch at least in my eyes.
I love Daniel Negreanu. My favourite poker player.
He's got a certain type of confidence about him that I like. But if you don't like him, for whatever reason, there's not much you can do. Each to their own. At least you can give credit where it's due. He reads people like no one else. He always seems to know when to talk and when to listen. For me, he's the best Texas Hold 'Em player in the world. And I never tire of watching the master at work.
He probably was never the best. He only thought and made many people think he was. And today he is lightyears away of being the best.
