- We venture South West of Brisbane for a day trip to the regional area of the Scenic Rim in Queensland. After a stop in the rural town of Boonah (known as the 'Heart of the Scenic Rim'), we drive on to Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm. We nosh down on some lavender scones (and coffee) and continue our drive. Thanks to a wrong turn, we meet a goat that thinks he's a dog! We end up at Moogerah Dam for lunch and make an unsuccessful attempt to walk to the top of The Summit.
This region is huge and there is so much more to see and do. It's set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by World Heritage-listed national parks with spectacular scenery. We can't wait to return and spend longer there....

Ok, our timing wasn't great - what with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global economic turmoil less than a month into our trip.

Ian the goat gave us a good laugh.
Parts of that walk to the summit seem more suited to mountain goats! Too bad you ran short of time, but better safe than sorry.

Scenic Rim is beautiful part of southeast Queensland. You must visit Canungra, Mount Tambourine, Beechmont and the amazing Binna Burra ( temporarily closed due to bush fire ). Moogerah Dam is gorgeous! Yes, you have to be prepared. Morning hike would be good. Kooroomba Lavender looks beautiful, love to go there one day 🙂 Great vlogs guys 👍👍

Great video Beth and Paul :) I'd highly recommend a drive along the road to killarney, definitely one of those hidden gems.
