The last story 😂 gotta love the brain farts sometimes lol
HAHAH :-(
I laughed for like 15 seconds
Man I was laughing out loud for the entirety of your schedule story. Absolutely incredible, could totally see it happen hahah
LOL glad you enjoyed
dude you're hilarious man...i'm genuinely glad that not everyone in banking is super serious all the time. love the vids dude keep it up
Thank you!
story about the other Brian schedule got me lolling for 15 mins, loved this!
More awesome work! Glad to see you turn this into a vid! We love yah man.
Thank you!!
Man, this was hilarious. Please more!
Will do!
I always watch these videos because its like no fluff, and fully transparent, not "influencer" like, and insightful.
My first finance internship interview was with an ex army guy in private equity. He grilled me bad and bragged how smart the current intern was I front of the two of us. Didn’t get the offer but I made sure I prepped for every interview after that moment. Promised myself afterwards I would never go into banking, now I’m going into research. Life is funny sometimes. 😂😂
any interview tips for beginners? Not sure where to begin tbh. I'm applying for back office/middle office roles in finance
Some genuinely funny and wholesome story, thanks for the chuckle mate
:)
Loved this
Thank you!
This was great man haha. Love this stuff.
appreciate it!!!
Finally a video I can say I didn't expect or want but really needed
I wish I was a standup comedian

More interview stories please! Im laughing hysterically!
hahahah will do
😂😂😂😂😂 man sometimes we gotta just not take ourselves serious. Lifes too short.
This is Hysterical!!
I try!!
Kind of a funny story. I use to work in transaction advisory (Quality of Earnings). During one of my first in person meetings on a sell side deal, I was asking one of the owners son’s (who was prob in his late 20’s early 30’s) if he was a shoe collector since he showed up in yeezys, thought it would be a good ice breaker since he was in on the meeting on behalf of his father. Not a good ice breaker at all. My team, and him and his team just looked at me confused and in awkward silence. He then proceeded to say, I buy them because I can and asked me to proceed with my questions list… lol
LOOOOL QoE is tough work to begin with
Great stories man!
Glad you like them!
Really enjoyed the video XD, love these
I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.
A robust strategy is crucial for any investor's portfolio. When it comes to making high-stakes decisions, the greater the risk, the greater the potential reward, and it's wise to seek guidance from seasoned professionals.
That does make a lot of sense, unlike us, you seem to have the Market figured out. Who is this coach?
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Hilarious, thanks for the laughs
I try!
"how are you doing bryan"
"my name is bryan"
:-(
I laughed so f*ckin hard when I heard this!
Thanks for sharing this haha! Makes me feel a whole lot better for when my socially awkward ass was interviewing for IB and PE. At least we gave a shit 😂
Glad it was therapeutic!
@@TheBryanJun Absolutely! 🙌🏽😎 You’re the man Bryan. Keep doin your thang.
Same. I’m socially awkward as fuck and nearly had a panic attack yesterday for my Morgan Stanley interview. Felt like my head was going to explode
The schedule story was the great haha
Probably my go to ice breaker story
I'm crying at the schedule story hahahahha
:-)
You’re hilarious man!🤣
Thank you!!
but hey, in the end you made it big. I guess one must go through all this to just learn "life". Loved the video.
Cheers!
Life is a never ending process of mistakes
@@TheBryanJun amen to that brother 🔥
I remember in one video you mentioned, that you wouldn’t be one of those channels that would continue to upload IB videos after you quit IB lol. Love the content tho!
Yeah pivoting is hard give me some ideas! Love the comment tho!
Dopeeeeeee
@@TheBryanJun don’t do that, do day in the life videos man

Thanks so much!!
Hey Bryan, any advice on how to be successful while applying to early IB-related experiences like the JP Morgan Early Advantage Program, especially when you do not have much experience in the financial field?
I think it's important to show interest - I also assume if they are a decent bank they recognize that someone who's 18 is not going to have professional financial experience
Get some solid Excel/Power Query/VBA and PowerPoint knowledge
Hahaha this was great
:)
you shoulda looked at your name tag also while saying "my name is bryan", instant respect
Mad respect
awww.. no this is so sweet
Hahhahaha thanks
I remember I had a superday before and the one of the director's starting falling asleep /snoring in front of me (stress test?)
He mightve been actually tired HAHA
Quality video
Thanks!!
could u do a video about the things u did to prepare for IB while in college. Like ur J.p. Morgan internship and so on
Yeah I have a video on it (I think my second one)
I couldn’t find this video? Any chance I could be missing something? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
masterclass
Hey Bryan, can you share with us your schedule for next week?
HAHAHAHAH bro, for real... sometimes we gotta laught at ourselves
great stress relief
Man literally speaks at 1.5x, i thought the video speed was high or something 😂
LOL working on slowing that down!!
this was hilarious
Thanks!
Hello Bryan. Could you please talk about the role of investment banking operation analyst and their salary?
Thank You
Idk if you mean ib analyst or if there's something that has operation specificity, IB analysts now make ~100k at base
@@TheBryanJun i meant the midle office. I saw im Goldman sachs investment banking divison, there is imvestment banking operations. I was curious as to what they couldn't find any info about it.
@@prcbbm3523 Ops is completely different from the IB division, you will mostly be assisting S&T desks in functions like Product control, Trade support, Trade validation, Confirmations drafting, Chasing, Matching etc etc.
The salaries are peanuts as compared to what FO makes, expect 40-50k
@@sairajrane2886 Thanx Sairaj
Too funny!
This reminds me of the story where I dropped an entire cup of coke between my thighs right in front of the partner…that was the first ever social event I attended as a full time
One of my first client interviews, the client, an uppity chap, offered a cup of tea. Nervous about the interview and uptight client, I knocked the cup of tea on to the guy's brand new forest green carpet. I then took my paper napkin and began rubbing which of course shredded the napkin on that brand new carpet.
I panicked, and mumbled something about cleaning it up. He too is panicked and yells, "Oh no leave it alone. I'll take care of it." Any wonder why I never did any business with that guy?
LOL we all have our moments!
The calendar LOL
:-(
Hello Bryan,
I would like to ask what type of investment banking analysts were you? we're M&A analyst?
Yup!
not gonna lie thats hilarious :D
LOL thanks
Someone in an interview wished me good luck for the next round and I said "good luck to you too." Luckily there were no long awkward moments because it was a virtual interview. I'm gonna have a ton of these awkward interactions soon when I start full time
My time on tiktok taught me this amazing trick. Try to remember someone else's embarrassing/awkward incident. Usually, you can't. So they probably don't remember you either
HAHAH that's a good one
Thank you 😂😂😂😂😂😂 really needed that info
Is it possible to shadow someone at Goldman Sachs by going down to the building and asking?
LOL honestly why not
Damn dude I’m going into finance. Not sure if I should focus on trading Or M&A…
M&A is more fun imo
wait so did you eventually get the offer from the bank - the analyst throwing u a pen????
yeah LOL became great friends with him actually

Is it just me or does this guy sound like Obama
