- Well lads, the video speaks for itself really...
I do feel hard done by as I was leaving the 50km/h zone and heading towards an 80km/h zone. The shades were posted up behind the 80 sign, catching people leaving the village...
Ah well, time to move on.
F.T.S. and all that ;)
Make sure to check out my channel for more horrendous content...g'wan... be sound...
He's going on about safety, ya think he would of let you go ahead while he had the traffic somewhat stopped behind him. Instead he leaves you out on the road while traffic passes you
Haha yeah man, I really felt weird about that. It was my first time ever being pulled over & I remember being like, jesus I'm very exposed here now that he's gone.
@@LuckyLukeRides I would consider to make a complaint, you have video footage. Can see clearly he left you in an exposed position. after giving you a telling off for safety, he put you in danger.
@@DjMarkyBatch That's not a bad idea to be fair man 👍 The way the Guards are here though they'd probably just laugh and throw it out
Bald in the middle like his head lol
Hahaha :P
What a balls and an unmarked car aswell
I know yeah man, I was gutted... ah well...
That lad knows bloody nothing about motorcycle tyres.
No arguing with stupid man. I know I can't argue the speeding but still a shnakey position.
He knows nothing about braking anyway, the tyre tread only comes into play on a wet road, sneaky bastards speed trapping, you wouldn't see them if there was any real trouble, they won't tackle the tinkers either, tinkers driving about with frig all tax or insurance and kids sitting in the front of vans, they'll ignore them and fine honest citizens to collect easy revenue.
Good on you for helping the poor lad make his quota for the week. Performing a public service Luke!
He needs a little educating regarding tyres & also braking IMHO, but you’re a brave man challenging him on it, he was definitely the awkward type you don’t want to meet!
Haha, I was doing my good deed for the week. Yeah, the rear was squared off but there was still tread there. I dropped the argument because I could tell he was just out to get someone anyway... ah well... 3 points for 3 years :P
Money money money
Finest example ever of shooting fish in a barrel lad. Not sure where he was going with the tire issue either, the threads displaces water, not offer grip, that's what the tire compound does. Most tires come from the factory with a slick centre like yours anyway, "but look, I'm not gonna get into an argument with ya"... 😂
Ah stop, it's solving not problems just generating revenue. Haha yeah there was no arguing there, just decided to shut up in case he wanted to land anymore fines...
His hairline might explain his issue with bald tyres 👍
Tires are fine, he was just looking to add to the ticket to bring up his quota.
Also I agree with wanting to slow people down. But sitting in a hidden spot just after a limit change, is not preventative. Its cash grab, he had his is note book at the ready and did not even attempt to talk or listen to you. Lazy policing.
Yeah, very true. Nothing came of the tyres as I think he knew he was wrong.
He wasn't listening to a word & kept cutting me off so I knew he had his mind made up. I'd be more concerned with people coming into the village and not slowing down. Ah well, can't argue that anywhere, just one of those things I guess.
@@LuckyLukeRides I hate the way they always hide beside limit changes on the road. Its real sneaky, clearly just about
making money, nothing bout making roads safer.
Pretty sure you can appeal that, they are not supposed to be sitting behind signs. The minimum is 1 minute and 30 seconds away from the sign. Not sure if thats just for speed vans or includes guards, but if I were you I'd look into that.
Could save you a few quid.
Pup.
Irlande Trois puuuuooinnnt. Brave man arguing the threads 😂
Hahaha. Yeah I dropped it after I realised he wasn't even listening to me.
Nothing wrong with those tyres
Agree, that clown knows nothing about bike tyre's
A bit squared off is all but there was still tread left. I think he just wanted to do me for something else too...
@@Nordkapp65 Haha indeed man.
Was he not supposed to wait until you were ready to return to the carriageway before he pulled away? He left you exposed to danger by not leaving his vehicle with blue lights flashing as a barrier between you and the traffic. I suppose he needed to get back to his hiding spot.
Yeah, I thought that was a bit odd. I'd never been pulled over before but I remember thinking all the cars passing me are going to think I've parked in the stupidest place ever haha. He went back to his little fox hole to save the country from dangerous speeders...
Irish guards are total clueless he might as well be looking in the field at the cows..that tyre is perfect
Ah he hadn't a clue about the tyres. He only ended up giving me a speeding fine in the end!
Always keep a tire dept gauge with you 😂 subscribed luke also from ireland so may see you on the road .
What a garda bike expert lol.. he should be happy that u stopped.. warning wud do the job no need for fine ffs
Yeah man, I thought a warning would've been enough too. I genuinely didn't know I was still in the 50 and even after I left it, I stuck to the 80 limit. Ah well, he just wanted to generate revenue and that's it.
Is the tread depth the same for bikes 1.4mm
Hello bro, would it be OK to use this video in a moto episode soon? Of course, full credits in the video and description.
Hey mate! Is it maybe okay if I use this video in my compilation ? Full credited ofc! Thanks!
Knows nothing about motorcycle tires. Just adding $$ to the ticket. Ah well that’ll happen. You’re truly an outlaw Luke🤘🔥😂
Haha yeah I know! I don't mean to be but just keeps happening! :P
Them tyres looked more than acceptable ha he was just looking for something else to do you on 🙄
Yeah, they were a bit squared off but plenty tread left. He did me for just the speed in the end...
Good to use it mate?
No hassle man!
Where was he? I've seen him out around Killarney heading home to Cork.
Castlemaine man 😨
Liberty insurance cert and tax disc under the seat in an ikea sandwich bag. Absolutely identical to myself.
He can say what he wants about speeding in the village and school zone, you were well out of the 'village' area by the time he had you on the gun. Catching you 10 feet outside of the 80km/h speed sign is an absolute joke.
I wonder if liberty will be adding on a few euros now because of the 3 points, I had a long chat with them during my renewal about how they're quick to ask if I've any points, but wouldn't offer a discount for no points (unlike car insurance).
Ahhhhh man this is so so so so much worse hearing and seeing it. What a joke. He wasn't listening at all and was full of it, have an issue with my tyre? Produce a thread depth gauge so or leave it off. Unmarked car and all..... great preventative policing there protecting the community.
Hahahahahaha the front and rear tyre thing....they're not the same tyre :D :D :D Hahahaha ah lad I was pissing myself. I'm embarrassed for him. Like he doesn't seem to unsound or anything but christ almighty, like get people coming into the village no hassle but leaving. Shneaky.
Nah, he had his mind made up from the get go. The tyres had a bit of tread left and were just squared off from the Photo Rally spin and all the weight on the rear.
100% cash grab though, he wasn't the worst in the world but in fairness, why not catch the lunatics flying into the village rather than the people building up speed to leave it... Ah well, just need to be more careful next time & keep the eyes pealed...
@@LuckyLukeRides Or just get into government and never have to worry again........
You should have lied and said it was an MT10 then got it thrown out for wrong Information 😂
Hahaha, I wasn't that clever at the time. To be fair the speeding fine just had my name, reg and "mechanically propelled vehicle"...
Luke my man,I didn’t realize you were such a hooligan. 😲😂
I don't mean to do these things!
He definitely could have let you away with a warning as I assume it was a first offence and you pulled over straight away. I also didn't like the way he pulled you over in a fairly narrow part of the road and went off straight away after giving you the ticket which left you right on the road with cars coming. Fair enough though the video is clear enough you were doing the 72 in the 50 and yes I did see the 80 km but unfortunately you should only speed up from 50 after the 80 sign. Anyway, 80 euro is a bit of a kick in the bollocks and the 3 points, I don't think 3 points mean much and they will disappear in a few years so all will be forgotten soon enough. Safe riding lad.
He hasn't a clue about biking 80 percent of the braking is on front tire
Haha, yeah man. He was just power tripping hard.
Such heavy accent. Amazing video though
You need a sponsorship from ridgewallet ;)
Haha yeah man! I can be really cool then when taking out my licnece to show to guards! 😅
He was sitting in the 80 zone! Cheeky bastard.
Yeah, I saw him & all while I was passing & I didn't even know I was still in the 50.
Hi bro if you don't mind can I feature your video fully credit for sure with link?
"Fuck sake Luke not again... Oh wait, this is the same incident he talked about before."
Really unfortunate situation, you handled it pretty well though; I probably would've been too stupid to realise it was an unmarked car and would've kept going until he turned on the sirens...
Yeah, this is the same incident, it's my first time ever being pulled over. I saw the lights right away & I didn't even know it was for me to be honest... Ah well, live and learn again haha!
Oops...unlucky Luke.hope that cop doesn't see a previous video u uploaded involving a continuous white line...Beautiful bike though.
Hey Luke, mind if I feature it man?
No hassle pal :)
@@LuckyLukeRides Appreciate it mate, thanks! I will send you a link when I use it!
Hey Luke, check out the edit called COOL AND ANGRY COPS VS BIKERS - POLICE VS MOTORCYCLE 2020 with your clip featured. Here is the link - czcams.com/video/zeNL0xEj0cE/video.html Thanks again! MM
Hi man, can i use it in my cops vs bikers edit? Full credited of course
There's a sign just before him that says 80.
My mom is from Ireland, can’t wait to go there next Christmas, I didn’t know police cars looked like that’s or was that a undercover cop? Lol
Haha cool man, what part are you heading to?
That's an undercover police car alright, the normal ones are white with highlighter yellow and blue. They're called "Gardaí" here which is the irish word for police.
Lucky Luke Rides my family is in Dublin, I’ve been on the train in the country tho it’s beautiful,
Unbelievable, he doesn't have a Scooby Doo about tyres (Road Tech 01), when I was in Cork I did see a traffic cop on a RT so he needs to be educated by this guy. I did the Wild Atlantic Way and have to say Ireland is a fantastic place for motorcyclist with great people.
Easy to get caught speeding on a bike, try within the M25 it's just one great big speed trap! They now have a A,B and C category and take a proportion of your earnings and can get 3, 4 or 6 points depending on the category 🤔
Ah not a clue man... I think that's why he dropped the whole tyre thing.
It's a great spot for a bike alright :) Oh wow, so the speeding fine depends on your income? That's nasty...
In the US it depends upon what state you get nabbed in, the fines tend to vary quite a bit. Don't get caught speeding in Virginia or in any of the National Parks it will be very costly.
If he has enough time to be giving tickets and busting balls about minor BS maybe he should be wise and listen to his customer and and solve an actual crime,
Yeah, very true man. Catching people leaving a village is helping no one, only generating revenue.
May I use this clip in one of my videos? Credited of course!
No problem pal!
@@LuckyLukeRides Hey,We have you featured in our Biker Vs Cops #4 clip starting in a hour,
we appreciate the support! Thank you again for the clip! :) ride safe!
Bugger!
Haha yeah man, some balls.
Only in cork 🤣🤣 let me know when your down in Tralee will go for a spin
Haha, this was actually in Castlemaine in Kerry man!
Well between this and the near accident last week I can't say it wasnt coming but unlucky
Haha yeah, last weeks upload actually happened months ago. This was last month. I was actually being really careful but I genuinely forgot I was still in the 50 zone here. Ah well, they're my first points. Live and learn.
reasonable. reckon he could've done yeah on that rear tyre.
Yeah, black & white I'm doing 73 in a 50 but I genuinely thought I had left the 50 zone already. As for the rear tyre, there was actually a bit of tread left alright, it was getting close but still within the legal limit & I think he knew that, hence why he just dropped it. Ah well, can't argue much anyway, they're my first ever points and just need to keep the head down for the next 3 years... :P
Just remember the police are always right, even when they are wrong.
Haha, couldn't have said it better myself.
Hey, you OK???!!!!!
Was he giving out because there no thread in the middle.... because that is the thread pattern.....
I think he just wanted to do me for something else too... he only gave me a ticket for the speed in the end.
@@LuckyLukeRides Shame he didn't give you one for the tyre you may have been able to take that to court and get your way out of both. Play he just out to get bikers card he doesn't even know the rules card. No way of fighting the speeding ticket by itself even if it was a dirty move in his part.
@@FructusSum Yeah that's a good point man, could've been a blessing in disguise as I'd have the video evidence etc.. ah well, live and learn. Just need to be more careful I guess.
Should have said they were half slicks and confuse the f*** out of him like how ya got the whole footage of it but he was snakey with his undmarked car
Hahah, yeah man that would've been gas. Yeah he was in a shnakey spot alright.
What a balls...you were saying you were thinking of appealing it, why the change of mind?
I asked around and at the end of the day he has me doing 73 in a 50. I was thinking of appealing it to say that the first sign I saw was 80 but a few people said the judge would just deal with the fact that I'm still speeding. Plus, if you lose in court you get double the penalty points & a bigger fine. Just wan't worth the risk in the end...
Legal limit is 1 mm and you've alot more there,, he haven't a clue "feel it it's smooth" he could be unhappy at a checkpoint all day long not a thing he can do with them 😂🤦
No it’s 1mm for motorcycles, not 1.6 that’s for cars If remember.
@@Kaizer10155 Google it I'd say, Irish law is 1.6mm
Sorry you're right I read your comment wrong 🤣
Kieran McCarthy no worries aha had me thinking then 😂
Yeah, I only got the speeding fine in the post, nothing about tyres as I'd say he knew he was wrong...
I bought a car just for long motorway trips I do, it was costing me more on bike tyres!!!
Yeah man, I have the car as well but to be honest I think it was the weight of my luggage on my bike trip that squared it right off.
lol, if i drive 3mph over the speed limit, our cops wouldnt bother to look at me..its in the margin of error for my speed meter....!
and my tyres are not racer, so he couldnt put blame on me for their " smoothness" lol
but my problem with cops is, i dont hold back my displeasure and give them heat for making things up, i even called 1 a liar in front of his mates...he wasnt pleased and i gave a shit, i didnt got a ticket...
Yeah, he just really wanted to get me. Haha, he didn't know anything about tyres either! It was my first time ever getting pulled over so I didn't want to annoy him anymore so I just took the fine and let it be... it sucks.
He knows nothing about motorcycle tyres
he is right about the rear tire
Hasn't a clue, that's why he just dropped it.
@@davidjones-vx9ju Yeah, I think he just saw that it was squared off because of a recent trip I'd done with a lot of weight over the back tyre. There was still tread left and above 1mm so perfectly legal. I've changed the tyre since as I wore it right down to the minimum depth :)
@@LuckyLukeRides kinda depends on where you measure it
@@davidjones-vx9ju Yeah, there's a tread depth indicator along the centre and it wasn't worn down to the marker yet. Ah well, he only did me for speeding in the end but I think he wanted a bigger power trip haha.
It was actually an 80 zone not a 50, at 0.28 there's a sign, you were driving responsibly, he ws just acting enforcer , I'd argue it in court, predatory policing
The 80 sign is actually where the 80 zone begins. There was a 50 sign earlier when I entered the village but I was pulled over after the sign so I completely forgot I was still in the 50. The only issue with arguing in court is if you lose its double the penalty points and fine. I think a judge would just look at it black and white and say you're doing 73 in a 50... can't argue that. Just took it on the chin and try be a bit more cautious about undercover snakes :P
we all been down that road of speeding tickets ha ha be safe bro.
Haha cheers man! My first time!
I saw this from your channel last Friday but after just seeing it again on @Moto Madness I noticed that he was pulled in a few feet past the 80 zone, I believe there is a legal term for this but it is along the lines of entrapment, ish. Technically, yes you were speeding, but you couldn't have been more than 10 meters from the 80 zone?
I want to say I would fight this but I also know the risk of losing and doubling the points is a turn off. Maybe you could get some legal advice?
The Guards are not bad and they put up with a lot of shit, but this fucking guy right here is a scumbag that give the Guards a bad name and perception that they just have a quota of tickets they have to write.
This does not seem right! The sign said 80 an he "caught" you doing 73 ??
Yeah, so the 80 sign is where the 80 zone starts. Before the 80 sign there was a 50 sign that you dont see on the video. So technically I sped up tpp early. It was a snekay move by the cop.
Penalty points ?
Is that your second speeding fine, also you nearly crashed in your last vid. I'm not stating the facts but sometimes you can do too much of something and the cracks avail themselves through this. I'd reckon take a break, you need a Holliday from yourself and come back when your fit mentally. Just saying as a friend. Interpit it from a good place please.
It's my first ever speeding fine on either the car or bike man.
I appreciate the concern but the near crash video actually happened a few months ago, this was only 3 weeks ago haha. I have actually calmed down a lot since the near crash, this was just unfortunate & I genuinely thought I was out of the 50 zone... Ah well...
@@LuckyLukeRides ah right. Well just making sure! Be good, & stovepipe. That just means chooch the rainbow 🌈 buddy.

Are you his mother
Typical speed trap tactics, sit just out of sight and tag the folks who speed up before the sign. Pretty stiff fine for that one, but I've had worse (thankfully not for a long time though). And he thinks that tread is lacking? What a wanker, and driving a Hyundai at that!
Yeah man, he was tucked away nicely there... doesn't really solve any problems, just generates revenue...
