    I've been looking into my first bike for a while and I've narrowed it down to the drz400sm and the yamaha mt07, but supermoto seems more fun and practical. Great video

      Drz 400 are fun but is doing long distance riding mt07 more comfortable faster ,and still wheelies

      @cobbyism Před 2 lety +4

      I recently sold my MT07 for a DRZ400SM and it's the best decision I ever made. you can rack up the miles on the DRZ easily but avoid the highway. I drop behind the big bikes on the straights and catch up without issue on the corners when out for a joyride.

    No one talks about the real mods that turn a drz into a completely new bike that are so much worth the money because it turns the bike into a truely new bike. I'm talking propper pipe (mrd, fmf or ti akra) , 3x3 mod, fcr39 carb, stage 2 hotcams, 440cc bigbore kit, hyperpro springs. These things turn a true 35hp stock drz into a real 44hp supermoto that can come somewhat near a 450 in terms of hp but will run absolutely forever without no need for hourly maintenance, piston changes or anyting like that. You might think "well yeah if i spend a fortune on anybike in mods i'd be a way better bike" But the thing is these parts can be found used in good condition fairly easy for about 1500. Or better yet find yourself a drz E thats been converted (these already have the hotcams and fcr). My drz had this list of mods and pulled 85kmph wheelies with ease. Top cruising speed of 110 and top speed of 165. These bikes will last forever and never lose their value since they are no longer made for the EU after 2008.

    • @Ludde_
      @Ludde_ Před 2 lety +2

      Exactly, but for my needs I dont need the highest power output as possible, It’s my stuntbike and I prefer it as it is now! If I would use my drz on the race track, it would be a different story though. I would do all the mods you just added.

    • @jernofranssen2072
      @jernofranssen2072 Před 2 lety +2

      @@Ludde_ i completely agree, if you like the bike the way it is ofcourse you will leave it like it is and there is nothing wrong with that ofcourse. But i do feel like for an informative video about the drz it would let people know more about where the real potential lays within the drz. But for real, this video already did the drz's in general way more justice as alot of other video's about "how good is a drz". So kuddo's to bldh and to you for actually knowing stuff about the bike before making a definitive video on an opinion. I just feel like there is more to a drz then the general people know and show in videos like this, thats all. Either way great informative video and your bike turned out really nice👌

    These are really expensive where I live. But I started on a 06' ktm 625 smc, same weight, 5 gears, same service interval but way more power. Though not as smooth and very vibrating, but better than drz because of power and less expensive actually
